A beautiful shave this morning with the Game Changer on the .68 plate knocking down 2 days of growth. The A&E Ultima Base is magnificent. 1/8 tsp gave me enough lather for 4 passes although i only did 2. A great way to start the weekend.

Shave of the Day 🪒🍑🥃

Today’s shave was all about testing something new—and wow, this one hit hard. I’m deep into test batch #7 of our upcoming pump shave cream / soap hybrid, and I’m honestly blown away. This is a true crossover: real soap + modern surfactants working together in perfect harmony. I can’t pronounce half the ingredients… but I can tell you it performs like an absolute monster.

The scent? Peach Barrel Reserve. Juicy, ripe peaches soaked in warm, boozy barrel notes—sweet, smooth, and just the right amount of indulgent. Think peaches and whiskey, done right. 🥃

If you’re in a rush, a couple pumps straight to the face and worked in by hand delivers an effortless, slick, no-nonsense shave. But if you’ve got the time to slow down? Break out a brush and let it eat. Beast-mode lather, insane slickness, excellent cushion, and protection for days.

This one’s coming soon… I think. Tester feedback is still rolling in—but if you ask me?

Had a fine shave this morning. I only needed 2 passes all around for a clean shave. Although I have the 45th Parallel SS, it's nice to have the SC version for an quick and easy lather. Take care.

The RazoRock MJ-90 is a very good razor. It's on the mild side. I also have the MJ-90A base plate which is more efficient. I like them both a lot. The Gillette Nacet paired excellently with it.

After having not using this Citrus Melody stuff for a long time I decided to go with it this morning and I’m so happy that I did because it’s delightful. The scent is so beautiful - lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a little tangerine all come together to make it so refreshing, the soap is a tallow based treasure with such thick, rich, mega slick lather that has great blade glide, the menthol sensation is INTENSE, and it’s chock full of skincare. The Stoffel balm is another South African jewel with a nice peppermint scent, it’s loaded with menthol, and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing. The Citrus Melody aftershave is witch hazel based so it never stings or burns, it has the same lovely scent as the soap, and it’s a menthol atom bomb. Finally the gorgeous Eau Sauvage fragrance which pairs very well with this soap and aftershave completed the event. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that felt like being in a freezer!

Fantastic shave this morning! Great scent and lather from the Palmolive cream, built with the Omega synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, & Aqua Velva "Original Sport" aftershave splash.
