OMG this B&M Spice is something for the books - what a soap it is. To me it’s even closer to the Shulton Old Spice than the Vintage Spice from MSC - it’s such a perfect substitute. I enjoyed everything about it this morning - that wonderful scent, the way it lathered, the slickness gave my 7 O’Clock such great blade glide, and it left such a soothing postshave feeling that the Lubriderm moisturizer enhanced. Finally the lovely Stirling Spice fragrance and everything is in order. Three passes did the job for me perfectly - another delightful BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #224 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply The Single Edge SE razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Aqua Velva Ice Blue. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning! Returned to Martin de Candre and their excellent "Rose" shave soap. Fantastic scent with incredible lather built with the Simpson "Chubby" 3 badger brush for three passes with the RazoRock Mamba and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and Czech & Speake No.88 aftershave splash & EdC.

Another wonderful shave!!

I like B&M spice; but I think WTF Spices of the Sea is a closer facsimile to Shulton OS. Just my 2 cents.

Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze:

MSC Frosted Lavender AS Splash

All good things have to come to an end sooner or later - this 7 O’Clock blade finally dulled out to the point where it’s no longer usable. This brand has incredible longevity despite having to deal with my tough beard stubble so it lasts for around two weeks. The Frosted Lavender soap and aftershave have such a magnificent scent - the soap is a tallow based jewel with wonderful lather that’s so thick, rich, as well as super slick, the menthol sensation is killer cold like what you’d get from any of the Stirling Glacials, and the lavender essential oil in it leaves my skin feeling so soothed as well as relaxed. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm and it also doesn’t lack menthol - it’s awesome stuff. Finally the Frosted Lavender aftershave went on with its delightful scent as well as a whopper of a menthol kick. A special thanks to my dear brother Fernando in Johannesburg, South Africa for creating these two treasures. Another fabulous three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!
