Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
A phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and their excellent "Indochanté" shave soap, splash & EdP. Great scent with a super slick and cushioning lather built with the Riva Brushworks badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching skin food splash & EdP

Shave of the Day – Farm-Tested & Gentleman Approved
Today’s shave was one of those everything-just-clicked kind of mornings—the kind where you step back, look at the setup, and think: yeah… this is why we do this.
Front and center is Peach Barrel Reserve, making its debut as the first scent ever offered in our upcoming Pump Shave Cream. The cream is still in its resting phase, but curiosity won (for science), and wow… this base is thirsty. It just keeps taking water and giving back slickness, cushion, and glide. Rich, creamy, and ridiculously comfortable—this one is shaping up to be something special.
The brush is another sneak peek. Still in the testing phase, but the goal is simple: solid performance, approachable price, no nonsense. If the right knot meets the right cost, these will land around that $15 sweet spot and eventually become part of a full starter set alongside the Farm Hand razor.
The razor today is an old Feather SS with a slide-top design—smooth, efficient, and a bit of a unicorn. Picked up from a buddy overseas, and it absolutely delivered.
Post-shave duties were handled by a test batch aftershave scented with Diverted Acres—a warm, smoky blend of cedar, oud, and tonka that feels like a quiet burn pile on a cool evening. Still testing, but the direction is very promising.
To lock everything in, a classic finish: Caswell-Massey Almond Powder. Dry, clean, timeless. It’s that final barbershop touch that says the shave is done and done right.
And finally, the fragrance: The Gentleman by Genre Parfums, an homage to Eau Sauvage. Fresh, refined, and effortlessly classic—exactly how you want to walk away from a shave like this.
All in all?
New formats. New gear. New scents.
The farm keeps experimenting—and the results are smelling real good.

I just picked this up (second hand....sought it out once I heard DG was closing). Nice stuff. Unfortunately it's sent me down the rabbit hole of trying to procure more. (I hadn't tried anything from DG until they announced their closing. Well, you know what they say about procrastination)
