1 1/6 days growth. The Henson with Voskhod performed well. No irritation. I ground in some menthol from my PAA Chill Mill to give the soap an extra zing. Again I used a little more than 1/8th tsp which was plenty for 4+ passes. Great shave today.

Some challenges with my shave today. First, I’m trying out some soaps new to me and ordered some Cella after reading some favorable comments about it. Nice scent but the container is so small that it is nearly impossible to swirl your brush inside the tub. While a good soap I don’t think the extra work of figuring out how to work up the lather in a small area and the resulting mess are worth it. I’ll use it up but won’t buy more.

BUT, the bigger challenge was the collapse of the beautiful scales on one side of this lovely Leader. Pics below 😢

Hot water preparation
Savile Row 3824 Silvertip Badger
Cella Crema da Barba Shave Soap
FW Engels Leader 13/16
Cold water rinse
Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel

Thanks for your post. I like it because you let us see your challenges, not because of them.

Tuesday morning:

Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 5
Erasmic Supreme Shaving Stick
Lubriderm Moisturizer
Viktor&Rolf Spice Bomb EdT

This Erasmic Supreme stick was discontinued a long time ago and I was lucky to receive one in a trade that I made with a fellow in the UK. It’s glycerine based with a very nice old school barbershop scent, it lathers like crazy, it’s so damned slick, and it’s pretty good skincare wise. The Lubriderm moisturizer felt so soothing, and do I ever LOVE the Spice Bomb fragrance from Viktor&Rolf. (so does my wife - her kid sister gave it to me as a gift!) Three passes left me so BBS - what a fantastic shave this was and I enjoyed it a LOT!

Wishing you all a great day - be well and stay safe!

Tabac Tuesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Tabac Shave Soap
Jayaruh #277
Darwin-Stoll Jr. 3D
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Tabac After Shave

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #277 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Darwin-Stoll Jr. 3D razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Wonderful shave today! Returned to Noble Otter and their "Two Kings" shave soap & splash. Fantastic and stately oud + rose dominated fragrance with a super thick and slick lather built with the Rich Yuengel synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash & Crabtree & Evelyn "Sienna" EdT.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)
