Hello Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Great shave this morning. Like the Mondial 1908 "Bergamot Neroli", I've been looking forward to using this soap for a couple of weeks now. But, as before, I was participating in the "Budget Friendly" themed shaves. Had to transfer this soap into a larger container before first use. I ordered the 50g size to try since the full-size jars aren't cheap. It arrived in a tiny, narrow jar which, while perfect for holding this particular amount of soap, was too narrow to load from directly. Here you see it compared to a standard sized TOBS tub.
If I used a bowl / scuttle to build my lather then the size wouldn't be an issue. Just scoop out a little and have at it. But I face lather and prefer to load the brush directly from the soap / cream. So I transferred the contents into a spare, empty jar I got from Stirling. Not the best looking setup, but it makes loading / lathering much easier. This stuff was worth the wait! Great scent and lather built with the new Wild West Brushworks "Lagoon" ST. Thick, slick and very cushioning. Two passes (+ touch-up) and I finished with a splash of ETHOS Grooming Essentials "Nuage De Citron" skin food splash and a several sprays of Prada "Luna Rossa" EdT.

Despite the soap making excellent lather, the razor gave me a good but not BBS shave. That may be due in part to the blade being on its 18th and last shave. The razor has an effective cutting angle that is much steeper than modern razors, requiring different technique.

One of my first Aftershaves when I first started wetshaving was Aubrey Organics City Rhythms, Spice Island, and Northwoods. I don't know why they got shelved, but they all had excellent scentsFatip Grande OC Razor

The new Fatip blades came in. The Fatip Grande pairs very well with them. I did two passes. One WTG and one ATG. It's a smooth as silk finish on the face and if I did a touch-up under the jawbone it would be the same there. I'm glad I got them I found them at The Razor Company and, as Wellinhome said, they are in packs of ten. It's not on the packaging but on the blade it reads "Stainless Ice Tempered "

Finally the package from China has arrived and I finally tried the Yaqi Adjustable The Final Cut and the Sagrada Familia Brush. What a great shave the tuxedo knot from yaqi I knew it from another yaqi Brush that I have and lathered perfectly the soap. The razor is both efficient and smooth at its first use, love it, let's how it goes in the next shaves with other blades.

While shaving I was thinking this blade was comparable to the Israeli Personna Red. For a couple of years the IPR was my favorite blade. I don't believe I have one favorite now. I do have a short list of razors with blades that paired so well for me it was off the charts.
A very nice full three passes today. The Monster Brush felt luxurious.
