Soap/cream of the day

Razorock The Dead Sea

I haven't used my Razorock The Dead Sea (so named because it includes Dead Sea Salt) soap for some time now. I pulled it the other day for eventual use but just had to put it at the head of the que today after being reminded how tremendous it is when it comes to its scent. The scent notes are Lemon, Rosemary, Cannabis, Saffron and Sandalwood. I first smelled this scent at Pasteur's Pharmacy in NYC a couple of years ago--it was one of two that stood out that day after a couple of hours opening soaps and smelling them. I think this is one of the best scents in all of wet shaving. I would place it in the Barbershop category.

This is a soft Italian soap commissioned by Italian Barber that comes in a glass jar which requires some care when using it. It is very heavy. If you happen to drop it on a hard tile floor you will end up spending the next few minutes cleaning up, then the next several grieving over losing this soap when you realize you cannot possibly get all the glass shards out of the mess on the floor.

I would classify its performance as acceptable.

Italian Barber sells this 250 grams (8.5 oz) soap for around $20, a tremendous deal. Of course, if you drop and replace it you will have spent $40 plus shipping.
