What is the "Josh method" of lathering you mention? Haven't heard of it before.

Josh is quite meticulous when it comes to adding small amounts of water to hit the “sweet spot” using a spray bottle. It’s amazing how mush water you can work in with his technique.

I think I may have just a few tough whiskers scattered in with my whispy Asian-guy whiskers. it must wreak havoc on the little edge. Unlike @NurseDave who has a full aramid beard Wreaking havoc on the whole edge, I deform and bend the blade with my few sprinkled ones.
