(y) I honestly think you may like this razor
Maybe. I keyed in on the fact that you said that it had blade feel and had your attention, and if you lost attention it might bite you... That describes everything I hate about razors.

That's what throws me about you. Old Types have blade feel to me and worse than this RFB. In any case I'm glad you're trying it and think you'll like it (y)

I don't get it either. Because in an old type the blade is perfectly sandwiched between the top cap and base plate. It is literally resting on top of the combs and there is absolutely no blade gap whatsoever..... so I don't understand it feeling aggressive.

I guess it is the open comb I have and you have to consider blade exposure. All I know is the Single Ring I have will bite me good if I don't respect it............

Yep, have also had a Goodwill, ABC Shell, Other Single Rings and a Property of US Army but all were the same and OC's. The Roller bar was a game changer for me so maybe that is the problem (OC's)
Oh, OK. My ABC and Property US Army razors are two of my favorite razors. I use the Army one all the time. That's generally the one I speak of when I talk about the mildness of the old Types. I do see to recall my single rings feeling a bit more aggressive.

If I ride the cap as some do to mellow them I don't get and efficient shave. I can shave with them but not a favorite. Glad you enjoy them (y)

who after his dance was last seen riding a dolphin. Thanks again John for the chance to try this awesome piece of history. My 2 piece arrives from Greece today I believe. I'll watch for a 3 piece if a nice condition pops up at a reasonable price. Yours has been cleaned, disinfected in alcohol and dried before packing to mail today to Kyle. Video is uploading now. Have a great day Cadre !!

I didn't get around to checking, but I'm pretty sure I don't have one. After watching Dave's video, I'm still almost positive that it's going to be too aggressive for me. But I wont know if I don't try it, so sign me up. Thanks John for doing this pass!

I don't like aggressive either, but the RFB is a beautiful, smooth machine, IMHO!
