Ramblings of a MilkCrate

Ran the 2 doxies to the vet. We thought we might be losing the 17 year old, she hasn’t eaten in 2 days. Turns out she has an infected tooth, so she is on antibiotics. Once the swelling is down, they will remove it.
We had a dachshund a couple years ago who had a tooth abscess. Her entire face/head was swollen and I really thought she was bit by something poisonous. Nope...bad tooth. At 17 years old...things can happen quick on dogs that size. Hope she makes it through everything okay. Gotta love those doxies!

Quick update. To test my shave from yesterday I use the same kit. Ended with the same experience and results. I also smell amazing!

Home Front-
Same same. Christmas shopping and car shopping.

I did some shopping yesterday myself! The shopping oddly wasn't so bad. But the getting from store to store was what took so long. Geesh! Don't people have something else to do other than shop at Christmas? 🤪

The process-
So late morning shave ... of course. Testing the mystery samples has really given me a new appreciation for the soaps that I use. Focusing on every minute detail from start to finish. Even more focus than I was originally using. I’m glad to have had that opportunity and it will serve me well in the future. Today’s shave was a bit off and I was really surprised because I don’t have issues with the Fat. Anyway, I bloomed the soap for a couple of minutes because it hasn’t been used in awhile. Loaded for 30 seconds and got to it. The lather started rather bubbly, but settled down with some work. My brush was also kinda wonky today, I think it needs to be cleaned. So I may be cleaning several boars today. The soap really thinned by the third pass and I had to hit the puck again.

40 laps on leather this morning. The Three Ranners doesn’t see much action, but is a very capable sharp razor. I went with my standard three pass shave of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. A nice enough shave, but not awesome. I did miss a couple of the trouble spots, but I am DFS for the win! I’ll take it.

Finished off with a splash of water and a drip dry. Gave the dry diwn a couple of minutes to check the post shave. Very nice. A healthy splash of the GTB AS and everything was right as rain! Indeed. Kinda weird shave, but decent. Life is good!

Looks like I have a reprieve from car shopping today. It ooks like it may be a bum around day. Now to shake this sinus headache.

Late morning shave ... yeah me! Week 2 of vaca and I’m digging it. Mixed the kit up today because reasons. The Dovo and Zenith got the nod today. Thought I would break out the Sherlock and give it a go also. 30 second load time and it cranked out a bunch of lather.

20 laps on cotton and 40 laps on leather this morning. I went with my standard three pass shave of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Great shave! The Dovo/Sherlock combo took care of business and I am BBS for the win! Oh yeah!

Finished off with a splash of water and a drip dry. A healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! Yes it is. But wait, there’s more. I also have the EdP, so I hit that for one ping only. Life is good!
