Late morning shave today. I was a little slow moving because of the arctic weather, but I got it done. I used a brush from the mystery box. I like it ... but ... sorry, that’s all you get there. It whipped up a really nice lather and I got to it.

30 laps on leather and I went with the standard three pass shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. Very nice shave and I am DFS for the win! I’ll take it and blame it on the weather. Wrapped everything up with a quick splash of water and a drip dry. A splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! Very nice! Now what to do today? Life is good!

Late morning shave ... you know it. It felt like a good Patch day today. All kinds of kit changes too. The Schick cleaned up great and has a fresh blade in it now. Grabbed a different mystery brush to give it a go too. Had it way too wet and had a big mess going on. It was great and the CBL didn’t break. Man this brush is ... oh ... never mind. Plenty of lather for the shave and post shave.

I went with the standard three pass shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. I took my time to find the angle and used light pressure. Man that was an easy shave ... it was great! And I am BBS for the win! Nice ... nice ... nice. You can easily knock out a quick BBS with this thing.

Wrapped everything up with a quick splash of water and a drip dry. A splash of WH and everything was right as rain! See what I did there? I don’t have a matching AS and haven’t tried to make one yet. So ... WH it was. @cmh737 was kind enough to send me several frag samples to try and Givenchy Gentleman got the nod. Man, this is vintage and it is awesome. I have to be careful, this rabbit hole would be deep and expensive. Great to have the opportunity to try these though. Man ... I smell amazing!

Home Front-
Today is the missus b-day, so gifts and dinner are in order. Have to return those shoes today and may run out to my mom’s for a bit. Life is good!

Wish Deb a happy birthday for me. Or belated. I guess it depends on when you see this. :ROFLMAO: I hope she's doing better

Thanks Ben, I’ll let her know. She is doing better. Still have something to work out and hopefully it won’t be drastic. Appt this week to discuss options.

The process-
Quick update. Late morning shave using a couple of mystery box items. That would be the Stirling brush and the Noble Otter soap. The boar has shed pretty heavy, but hopefully it will stop. Great handle with nice weight. The NO has a light scent on the puck, but I lost it during the shave. The lather was nice and slick, but not voluminous. I liked it. Kept my standard shave from start to finish. Very nice post shave feel, with lots of good stuff in the ingredients list. Oh yeah, it’s a keeper.

Life is good!

So ... back to the grind and back to the Proraso. Man, that alarm clock went off way too early this morning. When I first started with traditional shaving, it was one soap from start to finish. Then I discovered the various scents and now I struggle if I try to 3017 a soap. But I can usually keep the same soap/AS for the work week and mix it up on the weekends. Anyway, I used the new boar brush again today and it did well. It did shed more, but not as much. It also has decent backbone and splay. I'm curious to see how it breaks in. Ran it a bit wet and went with a 30 second load time. Whipped up a nice lather that smelled great.

40 laps on leather this morning and the Dovo was ready for action. I went with my standard shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. Very nice shave and I am BBS for the win! I'll take that anytime. Wrapped it up with a splash of water and a drip dry. A healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! Man, I really do dig this Sandalwood.

Home Front-
Nothing new to report yet, the week just started. Oh ... I did take Wednesday off but it is not for fun stuff. Uh ... ok, that's it. Life is good!
