The Process-
Wrapping up the work week with Stirling Triumph. Today is my Friday, so we will mix it up a bit tomorrow. Needed to speed up the shave just a bit this morning and the Old Type answered the call. The remaining kit was the same and performed flawlessly. Loaded the soap for 30 seconds, with a wet brush, and whipped up a ton of bubbly lather. I had my brush way too wet this morning. But just keep working the lather and it will stabilize ... and it did. I haven't broke it yet. Once it stabilized, I had a ton of great smelling lather.

Went with my normal shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. Outstanding shave this morning! An easy, peasy BBS for the win! The Astra did a great job, but I will probably replace it and load another DE for when needed. Nothing like pulling off an easy win. Great stuff right there! Wrapped everything up with a splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! You know it was. So ... the longevity for me is good, I still get random whiffs around lunch time. And I dig this scent ... yup, this one is a keeper.

Home front-
The weekend is almost upon us. Looks like I have full days on Saturday and Sunday. Now I am working on filling up my Friday schedule ... that ain't right. Hopefully I will get a chance to hone up these resto razors this weekend. Bevel sets are not done yet, but I'm on it. I was struggling a bit with the process and had a ton of questions on various stones in general. Luckily I had the opportunity to talk with @cmh737 yesterday and bounce those questions off him. Can't thank him enough for the information and opinions that he provided. I am sorted out now and really excited to see how these razors do with a full synthetic progression. That's all I have at the moment. Life is good!

Shave-
Dovo SR
DSC Badger
CBL Sir Fougere soap

Post Shave-

Florida Water AS

The Process-
Today is my Friday off, so the customary late morning shave is the order of the day. Decided to give the CBL another go. The DSC is a 24mm brush and to me, that seems like a large knot. Loaded that up and whipped up more than enough lather. My gosh, I could have done some mammoth painting and then some. At one point I had it so wet that I was slinging it everywhere ... fantastic. To my nose it has a light scent and that seemed like a good call for a hot summer day.

Hit the Dovo with 20 laps on cotton and 50 on leather. Also went with my normal shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. An outstanding shave this morning! The audible feedback let me know that I was taking care of business and the dancing baby was quickly approaching. Blew right past him and the screaming dolphin was headed into the bay. By the end of the second pass, the dancing baby was riding the dolphin! What?! Headed into the third pass and the baby was grabbing something from his waistband ... what is it?! OMG ... He’s got a cuban! He’s grabbing his lighter ... and ... and ... OMG he fumbled the cuban! Right off the dolphins back and in to the water! Oh my ... what a tragedy! Well folks, there you have it. I walked away with an awesome BBS for the win!

Man ... it’s Friday. I wrapped everything up with a glug of the AS and everything was right as rain! That Florida Water has a great spicy note to it. That’s the good stuff right there! It’s going to be a great day!

Home front-
Today has a trip to the vet for Ellie’s last antibiotic shot. A trip to HD for some bags of sand. I guess that means some yard work for me. And I have a Boston butt to throw on the smoker. Hit it with an oak and hickory wood mix and we should be eating large. Life is good!

Cadre Friday and good food incoming! Have a great day Tim!

Oh snap. I might be bugging you about what you learned in the coming weeks once I'm all done with this education nonsense. Good stuff, Tim.

Shave-
Gillette New LC
Astra SP
Semogue boar
Mike’s Natural Barbershop soap

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
Ghost Town Barber AS

The Process-
Had a late morning shave but had to speed it up a bit. I know that’s not right on a Saturday, but the missus had to get ready also. So a DE got the nod. Went with the Gillette NEW and a new blade. Haven’t done a barbershop in awhile so it’s on deck also. Had a wet(ish) brush, but I shook more water out than normal. Loaded the soap for 30 seconds and got to it. Whipped up a really nice lather, but it was still on the wet side and flung to and fro. Never did break it though.

Went with my normal shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. Great shave and I am BBS for the win! I wrapped everything up with a glug of the AS and everything was right as rain! GTB was a really good chaser for this shave. Life is good!
