Dovo SR
Vulfix badger
CC Venture soap

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
CC Venture AS

The Process-
Early morning shave today ... psych! It was a late morning shave. I am still chasing down my DE count, so back to the Dovo again. The CC Venture sounded nice this morning, so I hit it for 20 laps with a well shaken brush and got to it. The lather started a bit thick, but I rinsed between passes and dipped the brush tips in water a bit. That woke it up and I cranked out a lot of great smelling lather. Had enough for the shave and post shave.

20 laps on cotton and 40 on the leather this morning. Went with my normal shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. Nice ... very nice. The Venture had some great slickness this morning, more than normal. Not sure yet if adding the cotton stop is making a difference, but it doesn’t seem to hurt. Very nice edge this morning and I am BBS for the win!

I wrapped everything up with a glug of the AS and everything was right as rain! Very nice way to start the day. Ahhh ... the simple things in life.

Home front-
The pork butt didn’t happen Friday. Luckily my commitment for today changed and I am about to fire up the smoker. Low and slow is the order of the day. The missus also wants to rearrange bedroom furniture, so that should be fun. I plan on sneaking in a little honing as well. We’l See how the day unfolds. Life is good!

Shave Count (DE: 303 SR: 265)

Pre Shave-
Splash and go

Shave-
Gillette New LC
Astra SP (2)
Semogue boar
Stirling Glastonbury soap

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
Stirling Glastonbury AS

The Process-
Early morning shave today, which is typical work week. You know the routine, new week ... new kit. Didn’t want to grab the DE, but I wasn’t up for an SR this morning. I find that kinda amusing. People outside of our niche usually only have one razor, so there is no “choosing”. Anyway, grabbed the Semogue and loaded the soap for 20 seconds today. Had it nice and wet with plenty of lather for the shave and post shave. The heavy “green” scent of the soap seems to be mellowing a bit which should allow some of the other scents to start coming through. Come on Patch.

Went with my normal shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. Very nice, easy peasy and I am BBS for the win! Great shave! I wrapped everything up with a splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! The AS delivers another green blast and then mellows some. Nice post shave feel and I am ready for the day.

Home front-
Woke up with a killer sinus headache, so I took the day off today. Rearranged the bedroom twice yesterday. Didn’t think anything about it until bedtime, but we moved the dog beds to the opposite side of the room. One of our dogs is really old, hard of hearing and getting to where she can’t see. When it was time for bed, she couldn’t find it and we had to help her. Hopefully she will get oriented in a few days. I think that’s all I have at the moment. Life is good!

That was some great looking meat. Kinda sad story about the dog though. She deserves a couple extra treats.

Hope the headache is improving so you can relax some!

Poor doggie. Life was great then her bed up an sprouted legs on her!

Since I was chillin’ today, I worked on the W&B restoration. Finally got the bevel set on this and ran it through the Naniwa progression: 1k, 5k, 8k &.12k. Then 20 laps on cotton and 50 on leather. I stopped at the 12k and didn’t do the balsa because I want to know what that 12k edge feels like. Guess what’s on deck tomorrow.
