The Deets-
So … talking about incense scents, I had to break out the Nag Champa. And a pic from Sam. Life is good!

Dig the razor and brush!
Thanks Brian!

They are both special to me. The Torrey was an ebay find. Vintage, with a French point, blade lock and Mother of Pearl on the Tang. It also had gold wash, but had such heavily patina that I lost it during the restoration. Looking back, maybe I should have left the patina. Anyway, with those features it was probably expensive back in the day.

The brush is one of a kind and was made by Knothead. He was a vendor here before he closed up shop. It has deer antler in the poly. Where you see the white, a tine had been shaved down. Maybe I’m just kinda nerdy like that

The Deets-
Very nice late morning shave, with a new razor. This SK Colling came in yesterday from Australia and I had to give it a go. It’s made from the same blanks as Ralf Aust and Koraat. This is a 6/8 (slightly over) with a Spanish point and Olive scales. The scales are a bit over-sized and make it appear larger than it is. Gave the factory edge a try and it delivered a very smooth, BBS shave. Ringing in the New Year with the adult kids this evening. Life is good!

May the New Year bring you and yours health and happiness!

That razor looks wonderful, Tim! In a few hours, you can say So long 2022 and Hello 2023!

In your honour, we had a pack of bacon with brunch this morning (even though I was the only one at the table aware of this).

Thank you Sam! I am so ready to be done with 2022.
