I had been using the same kit for the last few days. Today I switched over to the PAA Doppelgänger Black. Very nice shave.

I typically strop my straights with a count, on linen and leather. I have read about stropping by feel and listening to your razor. So I did that today … well kinda. I still silently counted, but I exceeded my normal count. I was also paying attention to the feel and listening. Then I heard it … … there was a change in the pitch. Cool. So on to the shave and there was a noticeable improvement in the edge. Man, that delivered a very nice shave indeed. Life is good!
