The Deets-
For today’s shave I stayed with Stirling Sheep and grabbed a different aftershave. GTB FTW! Sheep is a good soap and has a light scent. It lathers very well and the post shave is very nice also. At some point I think I will have to order a sample of Stirling Varen and check that out too.

The Dovo needed a bit of a pick-me-up so I rubbed it on the SB Ark for a bit last night. I’ve seen some bad reviews on the Dovo Best Quality regarding warped blades and what-not, but maybe I got lucky. I haven’t had any issues with it. I also took the Solingen to the stone. The Dovo delivered a very nice shave today, but I may hit the stone again to see if I can smooth it just a touch. A three pass shave was had and I am BBS for the win! Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Speaking of … it’s raining again today. That’s all I have folks. Life is good!

How’s Mrs. Milkcrate?
Thanks for asking Brian. Basically not much has changed. Her fever finally broke, but the other symptoms remain. I finally got a virtual visit scheduled with our doctor tomorrow to see what else we can do to address the symptoms. It took 5 phone calls and 6 separate messages on their portal. They are on the short list of people who can kiss my arse.

She was up briefly and was upset that she was sick and I had to take care of everything. I told her not to worry, that’s my job. I got this … I am Milkcrate!

You are a good man! So sorry that she is still not better. I really hope the appointment can get her something to give her some relief!!

The Deets-
Today I was trying out one of several samples that Mike scent to me. And man they all smell good. Today was WK King of Oud. Just based on the name, I was expecting something different, but I did read the scent notes online. Still, I don’t know scents so sometimes the descriptions don’t help. It’s a strong scent too. I bowl lathered from my copper bowl and it whipped up a nice lather.

So I also grabbed the Solingen razor from the other day. I had put it on the SB Ark and that really helped the edge. They both cut well, but I may take this one and the Dovo back to the Ark again just to see how far I can push them. Very nice shave with three easy passes and I am BBS for the win! No aftershave today, I just wanted to check out the soap.

Home Front-
The missus had a virtual visit with our doctors office today. They had her come in for another covid test (in the parking lot) and were to call us with the results later today. It didn’t happen and I’m not surprised. They said if it’s covid that she needs to ride it out and treat symptoms as best we can. If it’s something else, we can pursue that further. I am not amused.

On another note, I am trying my hand at a crock pot pot roast. It should be done in about an hour and I’m curious about how it tastes … smells good. No visible damage from the four legged terrorist, but I’m sure she was into something. Life is good!
