The Deets-
Seemed like a good day for Bay Rum. Our rainfall was 10” above normal for the month of May. We also have 6 consecutive days of rain in the coming forecast ... so yeah Bay Rum.

I was running a bit behind this morning, so a lunchtime shave it was. To save a bit of time, I did a two pass WTG and ATG with no drama to report. With that, I was rewarded with a DFS for the win! I’ll take it. A healthy splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! And did I mention that I smell great?

Also, the temperature dropped with today’s rain. So I think I’ll be working with a warm lather tomorrow. Life is good!

Think you need to send some of that rain over here to Chicagoland, Tim. Majority of our area is already in a moderate drought and the northern suburbs in a severe. Not a great way to be heading into summer...
You may not want our rain right now. I think we are still in the middle of tornado season, so you have to take the good with the bad.

The past two weeks here have been mainly rainy, with interspersed sunny periods. Just when I think it's going to break clear, more clouds move in. :(

I hear that! CA isn’t fairing too well either. Our first 100 degree day this last Sunday, I could swear the fire engines at the station across the street from the church campus got an alarm about every 20 minutes.

TGITHMF! That’s right friends and neighbors, today is my Friday. I haven’t used the Bay Rum in a while and it was a good call for the work week. I love this stuff. Life is good!

I have been wanting to try the CRSW Schapenmelk, but don’t have it yet. I did score this in a PIF a while ago, so I thought I’d give it a try. Not too shabby, but I still want to try the Schapenmelk. The soap had a pleasant soft scent and lathered up nicely. The Windjammer was nice too. Life is good!

The Deets-
I think I picked this sample up when the missus and I went to the Stirling storefront. Thought I would break it out and give it a try. I don’t have sensitive skin, I don’t think, but this is a really good soap. I couldn’t smell anything. If there was a scent ... I got nothing. I usually use MWF for the aftershaves that don’t have a matching soap, but this soap could easily slide into that slot.

The soap loaded and lathered up quickly. It is a beef tallow base without the lanolin, but the post shave feel is still very nice. Three easy passes with the DE and I am BBS for the win! Wrapped everything up with a splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! That was a good shave. At some point I also want to try Stirling Sheep, which is a mutton base. It’s going to be a great day. Life is good!

The Deets-
Had a nice shave this morning. I have mentioned before, but I typically use The Fat when I have an aftershave that doesn’t have a matching soap. Got it a little too watered down this morning, but it was slick enough to deliver.

Just kind of a chill day today. I did plant some Plumera clippings that I picked up in a PIF. They came from a gent in Florida and this missus likes the scent of Stirling Plumeria, so I thought “why not”. Life is good!

Back on this set for the work week and with the hole I have in the bottom, this should do it. Very nice shave this morning. I loaded heavy and whipped up a really nice lather. Yeah, this soap/AS will be back in the rotation again. Life is good!

Back at it again today and had a great shave with no issues. This is the tallow version of the soap and I have not tried the veggie one yet. With that said, I probably won’t. This set just delivers … a nice creamy lather, slick effortless shave, very good scent strength and longevity. And the post shave feel is very nice as well. Real nice!

I probably should not have chosen this one to knock out. I want to get down to 10 soap/AS sets, but this one will have a place. Life is good!
