Shave-
Razor: Gillette Slim
Blade: Wizamet maybe
Brush: APshaveco Badger
Soap: Haslinger Marigold

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: SV Desert Vetiver (sample)
Frag: none

The Process-
Nice and relaxing late morning shave today. I wanted to finish up the SV sample, so the Marigold got the nod for soap. It is the vegan formula, but the performance is just fine. And the light scent works with any AS. I also have a puck of Haslinger Honey that will go in a tin for travel soap. A 30 second load time with the new Beehive and I was ready to take care of business.

I went with my standard three pass shave of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. That was a great shave and the light scent of the Haslinger carried throughout. The Slim made quick work of the stubble leaving me smooth, clean and BBS for the win! Had plenty of lather left for a post shave while I cleaned my shave gear.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! I am digging that Desert Vetiver and it’s missus approved too. Life is good!

Shave-
Razor: Dovo SR
Blade: none
Brush: SV/TSC LE Badger
Soap: Stirling Hipster

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: Stirling Hipster
Frag: none

The Process-
Ah ... the beginning of a new work week. Had an early morning shave and on deck today is Stirling Hipster. Also put the Dovo back into the rotation and the SV got another go. Hit the Stirling with a 30 second load time and whipped up a nice lather. I think this knot is going to work out just fine. I really like the density and I am hoping it doesn't relax and bloom out too large.

60 laps on leather and it was go time for this razor. I worked on 3 razors a bit this weekend and this was one of them. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Had a much better shave with this one than the last time. I think I might have it sorted out now. I am going to hit it a bit on the SB this evening and see what that does. I still have the other 2 to test and see if I got them sorted also. I sent a couple out to try some different edges and I am waiting on them to return. Hopefully soon. Anyway this razor delivered a smooth shave, made quick work of it, and I am BBS for the win! The brush held plenty of lather for a post shave while I cleaned my shave gear.

Wrapped everything up with a quick rinse and pat dry. Followed that up with a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! A very nice morning shave and I am ready for the day. Life is good!

Home Front-
Not much to report at the moment, but did have a busy weekend. I was able to work on some razors last night and tried to straighten out my earlier honing mess. I think I got it fixed this time. But I will take them all to the SB for a few laps and see what happens. If the shave this morning was an indicator, I am back in the groove. I do have two that need to be polished up and honed, but that will get done another day.

Is that a 3D printed lid on your Old Spice Mug? Also, how is the AP badger brush with that beehive handle? @Techichi has caused me to fall in love with that style handle.

Yes Sir, I found the lid on thingiverse and had a co-worker print it for me. Unfortunately he is no longer with the company. @uacowboy now does printing and may have that and other lids.

I’m digging the beehive handle. The handle is comfortable in your hand and has some heft to it. It’s the first fan knot I’ve tried. The odd thing is the way the knot feels when dry, it feels like velcro. But soft and generates a nice lather when wet.

Shave Count (DE: 422 SE: 9 SR: 507)

Pre Shave-
Strop: Tony Miller
Splash and go

Shave-
Razor: Reynolds SR
Blade: none
Brush: Graydog Boar
Soap: Stirling Hipster

Post Shave-
Post shave lather
AS: Stirling Hipster
Frag: none

The Process-
After a bit of a refresh on the Reynolds, it was on deck today. That edge is a lot better than the last one I had on it. It delivered a nice smooth BBS, so it is back in rotation and I will give the Solingen a try tomorrow. Life is good!

Nice one Tim! Hope the week is progressing well! Any chance of a Cadre Friday this week?
