I was more worried about the maniacs around me.
Oh, they're nothing compared to the drivers in the valley, I promise. People in Houston at least drive the speed limit if they're not already speeding. I drove past somebody doing 45 in a 75 yesterday, the person next to it was doing 60.

When I leave work late I take a different route home to avoid some bottlenecks. For awhile I drive parallel to the highway I normally take. I frequently make better time off highway than on, and when the highway is bustling along, I see people doing the most reckless things. It's more relaxing off highway than on.

Man oh man ... I could have hit snooze a few more times this morning. Uhg! Anyway ... Happy Hump Day! So ... I kept Stirling on deck today, but switched up the scent. Seemed like a good day for some Patch. To my nose, it starts really green and then dries down with the other scents coming out. Today the green didn't seem as pronounced. It was still the dominant scent, just not as "in your face". Don't know if it's mellowing or if I'm just getting used to it. I hit it for 30 seconds and got the same great Stirling performance. I didn't notice any brush shedding today, so that is a good thing.

40 laps on the leather and the J Allen was ready for action. Went with the standard shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. That was a very nice shave and I am BBS for the win! Also it seems as if the irritation has passed, so that's a good thing. Wrapped everything up with splash of water and a drip dry. A splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! That was a nice choice for today's shave. But it's hard to go wrong with Stirling. I am ready for the day.

Home Front-
Lots of loose ends to wrap up at work today and tomorrow. It's a short week and I have that Cadre Friday road trip. I am really looking forward to that. Not the getting up early, but the opportunity to see the shop in person will be pretty cool. I think that's all I have at the moment. Life is good!

TGITHMY! So ... wrapping the work week up and it started a bit sluggish. Hit snooze one too many times, but I was determined to finish the work week strong. So a shave it was. Stayed with the Stirling theme and Piacenza was on deck today. This is a sample and I don't have the matching AS, but I still enjoyed the scent and the shave. Stayed with the typical 30 second load time and had a ton of lather whipped up. It started a bit wet with lots of bubbles, but settled down quickly. This soap has a great, but subdued citris scent. Had enought lather going for a three pass shave and a post shave. The Stirling brush did a great job and I didn't notice any shedding. Not sure, but if this brush is not broken it I think it's getting close. The backbone has softened just a bit and it is splaying nicely.

30 laps on the leather today, just because I was lazy. Went with the standard three pass shave of WTG, XTG and ATG and have no drama to report. What can I say? That was really nice. Hit the sweet spot on the lather and that J Allen made quick work of the rest. Very smooth shave and I am BB ... oh wait. I missed a small spot on the jaw line, so I am DFS for the win! Great shave otherwise.

Wrapped everything up with splash of water and a drip dry. A dab of the ASB and everything was right as rain! I need to buy this soap and matching AS, it would be a nice addition to the rotation. Stirling works really well for me and I dig this scent.

Home Front-
I think you guys are current on the home front. Road trip tomorrow! Life is good!
