Well, spent the day at the cat hospitals. We have a puzzling cat. His heart appears pretty much normal with only mild thickening on the left ventricle. The left atrium in cats with congested hearts is usually enlarged. Well, not SafetyCat! He’s perfectly normal. He’s weak from not having eaten for a week, and dehydrated. So tonight he’s in kitty ICU getting rehydrated, and hopefully fed. We’re giving him appetite enhancing meds. Were it not for CareCredit, I would have had to put him down for sure. Pondering when to call it enough though and it’s a painful question.
