Along with razor frenzy, I apparently have soapaphrenia. Similar to schizophrenia, but with soaps instead of personalities, lol. Seems I am pretty done with 3017ing, at least for the time being.
So today I had a fresh Bic Chrome Platinum loaded in a Game Changer OC 84. I had a hankering to use something different, so I chose Tabac. It was a great shave, easily lathering up to a creamy yet slick lather.
A little after my shave, I took the cap off the shave stick container and held it up to my wife's nose to smell. I asked her what she thought of it. She was not pleased. "Why did you do that to me?!?!?!?" Ok, she didn't like it. No worries. I'll still use it

Enjoying my 3 razor daily rotation so far. The Blackbird gives a damned fine shave, very close. I notice with this razor my stubble takes longer to reappear than with other razors, so no off hours bonus shave today.

Went on a motorcycle ride today with friends, and as per protocol, less show up than who committed. No worries, ended up at a Harley dealer, drooled over some bikes, and went down the road a ways to Codys Roadhouse who was serving take out only. We are in the parking lot, hobo style, lol. Has a pretty crappy burger, the meat was very tough and dense. Would have been better off at McDonald's, haha.
 
It was. The weather was very nice, low 80s.

Decided to use Palmolive Lather for this turn if the rotation.
I'm also starting to get the itch to break out my straight razors again.....soon....
 
I got two days off coming up. I know what I'll be doing some of that time. Got a 6/8 Genco I'm thinking of.....

Great effortless shave, no brain power needed, until I moved the razor wrong and left myself with a 3/4" stripe on my chin, lol. Some syptic pencil fixed that though. And I'm about to dive into straights again? Haha

I really dig the Bic blades. Sharp and smooth.
And the Shave Revolution brush, I didn't like it at first, was a bit too floppy. But I dug it out again and now I'm liking it, it's a good face lathering brush.

Game Changer and Bics dont disappoint. Great smooth shave. Drama free, no thinking required.

Got a kid at work, about 24, got into a conversation about shaving. He has some bad razor burn on his neck. I asked him if he's use a straight razor if I gave him one to use, and he said no, he uses a DE. It's a Viking, and he uses only Feather blades. Well today I brought him a Game Changer 84 to borrow, and a stick of Arko and a blade sampler. Whoops, forgot the blades at home. It's a sampler with some of my fav blades, Bic, Lord Platinum, Treet Durasharp, Voskhod, Personna Lab. I told him how to use the Arko stick. Hope I remember to bring the blades in tomorrow.
 
Well Junior at work told me he really liked the Game Changer. Said it had a better angle than the Viking. I told him about riding the top cap. He also was impressed with the Arko. Further conversation revealed that he uses some sort of Gillette canned gel. I think I may have completed his conversion, lol. I did remember the blades for him today.

Another lovely shave. The Blackbird is a very efficient razor. Maybe my closest shaving razor. Bic Chrome Platinum blades are a dream, Arko is a stellar performer.
I know they say perfection is a journey and not a destination, but today's shave was one of this that make you wonder if the saying isn't always true.

Another great shave. I figure at least u days for the Bic blades, maybe more. However, I got my plexiglass slab in, pulled out my lapping film, and hopefully tomorrow I'll get a chance to work on a few razors. So we'll see if the lure of the straights calls me back.
 
I probably would have done the same, haha.

Well I have two days off, a motorcycle ride scheduled for tomorrow, house chores and a wife who wants to continue watching Ozark. Still gotta find time to hit the lapping film. So in light of that, I only did a 2 pass shave today. I shaved at 3:30 pm, and hopefully will have enough stubble tomorrow morning if I get a chance to hone up a few straights.
