Vacation has been going well. One full day left after today. Finally anointed my Seamaster in the actual sea. Weather has been variable. We’re told the heat we’re experiencing is unusual for this late in the summer, but the humidity is normal. Visited a garden area this morning which was all about showing what is natural to Hawaii vs what has been brought in. Very well done with beautiful views, but that was enough direct sun for the day and we’re on the hunt for shade around the pool.

Renovations are going at lightening speed. The cabinets showed up early and the installers started in as soon as they could. From what I saw on a quick phone call with the youngest, the boxes are all in and it’s mostly the drawers left. Template making for the counter tops should be early next week. I suppose there’s a chance this could be all done before we actually move in. Which will disappoint Sam because all the disposable plates I got will go to waste.

"all the disposable plates I got will go to waste."

You can still use them and bring them in the shower to wash for the next meal! All plates are disposable; what's different is simply the number of uses before disposing.

I don’t know, Dave. Aren’t you getting a little ahead of yourselves? It looks like your walls still have a ways to go, and shouldn’t you have a roof in place before putting up your new cabinets? Nice landscaping, BTW. 👍

I guess I was off one on my shave count, so today's number stays the same for accuracy.

Back to the grind and the move work. I find traveling to the east to much less disruptive to the sleep cycle. As I type this, I see the guy that missed Drinks & Daves last night complaining about not getting details. There was a whole hour of details there bub!

Cabinets are all installed. Have to meet the contractor today after work to discuss tiling I guess? At this point I'm really like, man, just do whatever. The counter top guy comes this week at some point to make the templates. I'm painting the cigar room after work as well, with a goal of sometime today calculating the layout of my wall mounted scotch and other ETOH storage shelves so I can order the parts to install this weekend. Looking forward to having three full days to get stuff done at both houses as our official move is in a week and a half.

Oh ya, today's chocolate chip cookie with the cobb salad was delicious.
