Trip has been going well. The training went 8/10 yesterday. I’ll make a few tweaks for today. Walked down to the Pike Place Market to get mac n cheese from Beecher’s for dinner. I’m 0 for 2 airport lounges having scotch over the last few days. Fingers crossed for this afternoon.

Home update. I was going to paint and reinstall the baseboards in the cigar room. But my wife decided our bedroom needed to be repainted to lighten up the room. So change of plans. Home Depot run and then she taped the bedroom while I painted my base boards. Looking at the cigar room I decided it could use a new colour as well, and with the baseboards removed is the best time. So they remain on the floor. Saturday was prep of the bedroom and some other small items and Sunday was painting of the bedroom. Got it done, wife seems happy and the painting of the cigar room will have to happen when we get back.

Couple items of good news. There is a sliding pocket door between the main house area we’re renting and the small unit we’re subleasing. I sealed it up very well with a foam board and plywood screwed into the door and the frame. Then caulking and painting to try to deaden the sound transfer from one side to the other. I’ve been dreading having to reverse this process and figured it would be a full day to return it to normal. For some reason the owner just decided yesterday she wants us to leave it sealed up. Boom! One day freed up to do stuff at the other house. We also were told our cabinets are getting here early, likely tomorrow. So then we see if the installers have availability to move the install up.

But this morning, we’re off to Gear’s homeland!
