Something wasnt' sitting right on the drive back which made the highlight of the whole weekend that the bathroom wasn't 10' father down the hall when I got home.

I've really had it with Stefan not staying on top of this journal. I have to rethink allowing him to use the Bently to drive to the gym to shower on the weekends. What is great is the Essence with a nice new blade in it. Like buttah. And I have to say, that for all around use this might be my #1 Penhaligon's scent. I smell...marvelous.

I've got news for you....Stefan's not going to the gym.....but showers are involved. Not to worry though....he always uses the valet service to park the Bentley. Safety first.

Another productive weekend. I hate those. My wife decided that instead of getting the floors refinished in the house before we move back in, she would like new cabinets and countertop in the kitchen. If I'm still allowed to get my cigar room, I'm not arguing with anything. Turns out one of the contractors I randomly picked out is the husband of someone that I occasionally work with. We met with him Saturday. Super nice guy and accommodating because of my connection with his wife. But he sells higher end cabinets so the price was a bit of a bomb shell. Well, we're meeting with his designer at the house after work today so she can get her own measurements, see the space, and create some drawings. Also a bit of a bummer is we were hoping to get this done during the two weeks between when the tenants move out and we move in. Likely not. 3 of the 4 cabinet lines he sells have about a 3 month lead time. And even if we go with the ones he can get quickly, it's a 4-6 week job. So either way, we're living there without a kitchen for several weeks. Good times.

Come on Dave. Assert dominance.

“I’m the one who shaves with DE shavettes around here!”
Up until now I've figured I'm not going to rock the boat since I get a cigar room, but adding my lounge is getting cost prohibitive in added pork barrel!

Bro, just met with the designer. Good golly, there was talk about moving the refrigerator to the other side of the kitchen, expanding the cabinets into the next room, new hood….
Kitchen designers ALWAYS want to reengineer the kitchen space - it jacks up the bill. If they can knock out a wall in the process, all the better for their ledger. 🤑💸
