I heard about this one guy named Tyler Durden who likes to make soap. Think he may have something you'd like?

Yesterday at work suuuuucked. Today looks like it's shaping up much better with the bonus of a Cobb salad today. On Drinks & Daves we talked a little about current shows we're watching and the frustration with short episode seasons and being able to stream them all at once. We finished up Landman, and have one episode of Paradise left which comes out in a week. So we started the latest season of Only Murders in the Building. With the last season, I felt this one had run its course, but we'll see. Finally had a "duh" moment and started keeping a list of the shows we see trailers for or hear about we want to watch, so we shouldn't have to struggle with remembering in the future.

Bring on the weekend, baby! Been a rollercoaster of a week. I'm on-call this week and our medical records system went down for a short period of time yesterday so that was a little excitement. Today I found out my boss if going to help another region for what is currently 3 months. So I'll be taking on her local duties so that will be interesting as they say. Looking forward to getting home to a cigar and scotch in a few hours.

“our medical records system went down for a short period of time”

When we rolled out my then-hospital’s first electronic medical record in 2000, I was in the IT department. Nurses were complaining, “We’ll never get our work done. It takes too long to document!” About 2-3 months in, we installed an upgrade provided by the manufacturer of the electronic record at midnight, and the following morning near noon the system had a glitch and went offline for about 3 hours. Nurses were forced to use their old paper records. Naturally, we heard about it. “We’ll never get our work done! It takes too long long to document!” Oy freakin’ vey.

Pretty nice weekend other than a little cool. Got out all the toys, I mean tools, and washed the cars on Saturday. Sunday was Dave's big blow out zoom call. Big bunch of fun with some of the more evasive of the riff-raff showing their faces this time. Starting off the week finding out the temp assignment my boss is on went from 3 days a week to full-time. So that makes coverage a little more intense. But there was a Cobb salad involved today so maybe it all came out a wash.
