Late Bruce type shave today around 1pm. Because it’s Saturday and I have all my OT workout sessions to Gear. Got an email from my dad yesterday with new information about our heritage. There is a good deal of documentation about my grandpa on my dad’s side of the family. That’s where we get our Swiss roots and have a Sprecher castle and winery in Switzerland. But he got info from his mom’s side of the family which my cousin has been researching. Apparently my great (x10) grandmother came over on the Mayflower and was attributed as being the first female from the ship to step on Plymouth Rock. Which makes the family some of the first illegal immigrants!

Was she the one who chipped the date “1620” in it?

Well, I'm fairly certain that my relative was off before her......can't have a woman going first back in those days. So I was illegal before you. Back of the (non-existent) line, pal.

Congrats to both of you...... on....

Took the wife and kids to an afternoon tea in the city. Not as fancy of a setting as it looked on the website, but the tea and finger foods were good. Now all I can think about is this stupid show we have to do tomorrow.

Hotsaucapalooza baby!

Dave, I want to congratulate you for your success in last night’s Hotsauceapalooza. First, let me be clear, this is a contest in which I would never participate, out of fear of getting sick and embarrassing myself. Seriously, I have never enjoyed overly intense hot sauce, and make a point to avoid it. You threw aside caution (reason?) and went for it. I don’t have the nerve. Honestly, I didn’t expect you to go past the fifth sauce, then was certain that #8 would finish you off. You simply plowed ahead, despite your own declaration that “this is stupid,” and kept moving forward to completion. Your citation reads (in part):

“By ignoring reason, caution, and common sense in pursuit of the fleeting satisfaction of Infamy, Mr Sprecher has upheld the finest Principles and Traditions of Manhood.”

You are now the owner of the Coveted Gold Man Card, which can never* be revoked.

Seriously, good job, Dave. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
