Samhain is a Gaelic festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. It is also the Irish name for the month of November.
This weekend was a tough one shavewise. Gave myself a nice slice on the cheek on Saturday that took a long time to get under control especially since I didn't have styptic with me. Then Sunday I added a weeper on the other cheek and a slice right below the goatee. So today the whole face is a little raw and in need of some healing shaves. I have to think not checking my little bottle of Thayers before I left and thus not having any to use didn't help with the whole sealing up the skin after the shave aspect.
In economy-supporting news, I'm hopeful we might get a new TV. Sometimes our TV just goes black for a couple of seconds and when it comes back the sound is gone. You have to change the input to something else, then back to the cable box to get it to work. When we were in Oregon, we found out my parents had gotten a new big TV for $300 something at Costco. There start the wheels turning. I did reset the TV and it still did it. Last reset the cable box and now I'm waiting for it to happen again. I don't see how changing the input on the TV would fix the problem, but I figured I'd look pretty stupid if I got a new TV and the same thing happened. So of course last night was watching youtube videos on the different models out there now. He's hoping for a black screen tonight!
