Are we just now learning that you soak your brushes in a crystal skull??? And are you, in fact, Dr. Henry Jones Jr.?
I supposed if you have not watched my video from the get-go, you might be just now learning this.

I can't (usually) watch videos here at work as my work computer has no speakers. Something to do with wanting me to do my actual job and not watch people shave instead.

Well...you'll find this next entry interesting then :D

Tom Ford Oud Minerale

Day #3 of New Soaps That Left Their Scent Back at the Factory. I'm almost feeling like I should send these soaps to Bruce and see if they are light enough for him to get away with but be just enough scent to provide a thrill over the scentless. Any day smelling Oud Minerale all day ain't all bad though.

Today marks the spot at work of overlapping vacations starting while being an RN down. So, of course, the non-work related things at work become much more important to sanity. At some point, I had gotten my daughter an Echo dot the size of a softball. I forget why. Well, I ran across it and figured I'd bring it into the office so I can have a little better quality music playing than through my laptop. I'm one to enjoy high-quality sound even at low volumes. Back in college when I was doing printmaking I had an extra locker in the art building with an amp and a speaker, and in my usual locker the other speaker. I'd be pumping out the tunes from my diskman during evening and weekend work sessions. And I always figured if I ever had my own office, a small but nice audio system would be a must. The realities of the sound transmission between drop ceilings preclude that really happening here. But I did have the IT guy help with the settings of the new laptop so I can use it as a third screen to stream jazz/blues YouTube channels with video of records being played with cigars and brown liquor. Sooo, I thought I could just add a touch better speaker to the experience with the Echo Dot. Nope, tried all sorts of things to get it to work. I was just going to connect it to my phone via Bluetooth, but you HAVE to connect via wifi first. Can't connect through hospital networks so after some googling and trial and error I got it to connect via my phone's hotspot. Then paired the Bluetooth and then....nothing. The phone said I was playing through the dot, but all was quiet. I was bummed. And then I read poor Steven's @heysi post where he gets no audio at all. First, what kinda totalitarian place is that?? Second, see my first point. Third, does he not know of the existence of wireless earbuds??? So anyway, now that I've been defeated, I shall not be defeated. Now I need to research mini amps and micro speakers. Or more likely small powered speakers. It should have the side benefit of really hearing the flesh slapping together if I ever take a break and watch some Sumo.

Wireless earbuds???? What is this devilish thing you speak of??

But it's not so musical wasteland here at work.....I can listen to regular, plugged in earbuds but only for a bit. My boss is understanding about me wearing them from time to time (often to watch you or some other Dave shave) but I prefer to watch you two goofballs on my big screen tv at the house (BTW, you sound great in 7.1 surround sound....extra bassy).

Here we go, a good-smelling soap. Unfortunately, it smells very similar to Stirling Christmas Eve. Which I love, I just didn't need two that smell the same. Jeesh, this guy can complain about anything. But I was happy to have my face covered in pine and decent scent strength.

I've back-burnered the office audio project until we get back. For today's unwork tasks, I brought one of the watches I got yesterday and my bracelet tool to add in a few more links. Bummer is I've also burned most of my goof-off time and after the next meeting, I have a block of several hours where I should actually get stuff done. For work that is.

I think I've changed my mind about executive assistants. My wife is one and for our whole relationship, I thought it was pretty ridiculous the personal type things the people she's supported have either asked her to take care of or allowed her to take care of. But we reach a crossroads. I allow myself one bottle of strawberry Crystal Light each day at lunchtime. I'm no destroyer of mother nature so I have a 700 plastic water bottle that I continue to refill and then add a pack of totally artificial flavoring to. Put the top on, and mix it upside down a few times. Let it sit, mix it one more time, then it's good to go. I've used the last packet in my desk and long since had moved the last box of them from my closet to my desk. There is a case of them in the back of my car, which I think about every time I get in my car, but forget every time I get out of my car when I get to work. Only to remember again at lunchtime. If I had an assistant, they would be running out there right now to get that for me. I wouldn't want them doing anything work-related though. I'll take care of my calendar and emails. I want them to verbally read when notifications come up on my personal phone. Let me know of sales that come through on my personal email. Even write my journal posts. Here's my shave photo of the day, update my journal with what you see. And then take my returns to UPS, refill these two pens, and then run to the cafeteria to see what the lunch special is.

Stephan is personally insulted that you have already forgotten that he takes care of all these tasks for you. Stephan will be inconsolable tonight. Do not ask him to bring you a second glass of wine.....he will be too busy crying over your ironing he must complete before he can turn down your bed.

Stephan is not a fan of the heat. Even if it is a dry heat. Plus he has become quite well known among the club scene in San Francisco. You can take the boy out of the city....but please don't.

Oooph, rough night sleeping so my eyes are drooping today. And I'm not going to have any women whooping at me like Gear. But we'll see if we can make a go of the day. Going to celebrate my daughter's birthday tonight since we're traveling on the actual day. She requested Persian kebabs and her boyfriend to come over. Wish for the best as this will only be my 2nd attempt and I won't have FIL coming over to lead the way.

With boyfiends....you have to decide if the silence you'll get from the daughter is worth the joy you'll feel to destroy him. And just remember the fear you felt in his same place back in the days of your youth. I made myself remember how terrified I was of the fathers I had to meet over the years. It's not his fault your daughter is attractive to him. Cut the kid some slack.
