Nurse Dave's Journal

I do need to know from @GearNoir what the appropriate number of sprays is from a sample. The stroke volume on the spritzer is minimal so I used about 47 squirts. Or half the sample.
A sample that size, of the spray is decent and the scent is average power, might last me 4-5 wearings on average?

I did not want to come into work today. Not only is this just a weird week with a Tuesday off, but both we and our sister hospital have holes in our staffing for the department. That paired with several of us taking longer than usual vacations all at the same time and it's going to be a rough few months. This seems to happen every few years, and we get through it of course, but it's no fun. At least to my benefit, or so I tell myself, we received an email from compliance that we are not allowed to use our business phones outside of the country for security purposes. So whether it would help or not, I won't be able to get any work done while we're gone.

Given my lack of enthusiasm this morning, I went for the basic ole DE shave. Smooth as always though. I reached for another random scent sample today. The last time I used Zoologist I used 1/2 the sample and it didn't last that long. I think I used 1/3 this time and have been somewhat regretting it. This sucker is a BEAST. It was overwhelming at first. At over 3 hours it's calmed down a bit to where I want a bottle, but I'm just afraid I might be olfactorally offending those that come close. I'll have to see what the wife thinks when I get home, but I think this is one I'd really enjoy having around, but need to restrict it to just a couple of sprays.

Decided to pull out something I've never tried. I can't comment well to the scent as I had just used several cleaners in the bathroom and the air was filled with chemical scent. I squirted some soap on my brush and face lathered. I think it might work better if the soap when on the face first and then lathered. I should use this West Indian Limes more in the summer time. It is a lovely scent. And if you over apply it will just make the ladies trapped in an elevator with you swoon. I'm sure of it.

Ugh, I'm here. Let me set the scene. I wake up in bed and look at the time. I get out of bed at 5:30 on workdays. Whatever time I saw I knew I had about 45min until I needed to be up. Too little to go back to sleep, so I start messing on my phone. Probably a half hour later my wife asks if I'm going to work. Huh? I look and it's almost 6:00. WTF?? That's ok, technically I don't have "hours" and it's Friday. I decided to be a little later than usual and take a leisurely time getting ready. When I get to the point of the routine where I would start prepping my lather, my work phone rings.

*Now we flashback to last evening.* I'm on call for 2 weeks and get a call from the house supervisor with an issue better suited for a lawyer, but needs an immediate answer. Given it was an odd situation I call my boss to get another opinion. No answer. Then call the COO. No answer. So on to the Area VP who I think I woke up. We bounce the problem back and forth and then I call the house sup back to give some guidance.

*Flash forward to the present* The VP is calling. I answer and get that morning throat congestion so I'm trying to speak/cough and must sound like I'm still in bed. She was asking for an update on the situation. "I don't know" I had to say. When I get called with issues, I give the solution and figure if I don't get a call back then all is well. The house sup is busy so if they are fine and don't talk again then I'm fine. But when I get to work the next day, I'll stop by the house sup's office and get an update. Well, I was late so I hadn't gotten the update. VP had to call the house sup and texted me back that all is well. Well no, all is not well. I didn't do anything wrong but ended up frustrated with myself. Warp speed turned on. Quick shower, two-pass shave with a blade I should have flipped over, throw on a casual Friday shirt, and jet out the door. And that's how I ended up walking from the parking structure to the hospital in the wind and the rain in a Hawaiian shirt with no jacket.
