Mitchell's Wool Fat.

Worst soap I've ever used. I tried all the tricks and tips everyone suggested. Used up the entire puck trying and never got good lather from it.

But, that's just my opinion, I know there's lots of love for it.

I get great results from it. do what @fhalden suggested and you will likely get good results. even if you end up like @Spider , you will never know if you don't try it.

A great soap and I haven’t had issues with it as most have described. I attribute that to the water in this house more than my technique though I have watched many a video on it...

I like da Fat. However, it can be finicky.
If you are happy with what you have, be happy with what you have... but it is worth trying.

Absolutely. Bloom it, load heavily, add water a bit at a time. Better yet, watch @BarberDave 's video he recently did. The extra work pays off IMHO.

thank you. I see that this is one of those soaps with many different opinions.. I will keep my eyes out for some to try but since i hear its kind of a difficult soap i may hold off until i find a good price because i dont want something thats too difficult to use. I can get a good lather from modern williams also so maybe i would be okay with it. Anyway thanks for the input everyone.....(y)

Brother, I love you..... But Dude.... Your nose is broken, can't lather MWF I am worried your Spidey Senses are getting antiquated in your advancing age. Is it possible that your property and your pond has Krytonite in it??????? You know DC and Marvel dont mix right ROFL. just kidding HEHEHEHE

MWF is a soap that people love or hate. I was OK, take it or leave it. Then I learned to grate MWF & Haslinger Schafmilch together into a tub, & presto! It's a new soap that has the best properties of both soaps. That's what I use now & it lathers like a charm!

Interesting - the new or old formula Schamilch? I'll admit I haven't used the new veggie base and call me cynical but I'm a little concerned I won't find the new quite the same as the old...

I enjoy it when it works! one of ten shaves seems to be AWESOME. The rest are just meh.

My current tub is with the new formulation of Haslinger Schafmilch. By itself, Hasslinger or MWF, or grated together, it’s not one of my top tier soaps. But I find grated together it becomes a better soap.

The lather was good but it's the most sickeningly cloying scent I've ever smelled. Just awful. If Tabac is the chain smoking, curses like a sailor, 30 consecutive hours at the slot machine granny, MWF is the sweet old granny who owns Tweetie in the cartoons.
