When I turned 40 a few years ago, I had a friend from college who complained that men age like fine wine, while women age like milk. I told her to stop reverse projecting her old man fetish onto me.
Properly aged does sound so much better!

Going with a new track from Aussie guitarist / composer Plini this morning. Hope you enjoy.
Wow! Incredible shave this morning! Returned to ETHOS and Frank's wonderful "Foire d'arancio e Neroli" shave soap. A wonderfully clean, bright citrus and green scent with a thick and slick lather built with the S. Tinker Brushworks synth for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel and Maurer & Wirtz "4711" aftershave splash & EdC.

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Meeting later on today for those of us that are getting closer to retirement. Even though I plan to try to stay until I'm sixty, they're providing lunch! Firehouse Subs? Yes, please!!

Kicking off Friday with a live cut from Atlanta GA based rockers, Mastodon. Hope you enjoy.
And the hits just keep coming! Continuing with ETHOS and Frank's new offering, "Pineapple" shave soap & splash. This is a fantastic scent! Natural, not overly sweet and very refreshing. with a thick and slick lather built with the Shore Shave synth for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching skin food splash and "Succés" EdP. Another winner from Frank. Definitely going to be using this heavily during the summer months.

It's "Synthwave Saturday" so here's a playlist for you.. Hope you enjoy.
Another great shave today. Returned to my Valobra era TAOS unscented shave soap. Such a shame these were discontinued. Some of the best lather I've ever used. If you're ever able to find any, buy them immediately! A thick, voluminous and super slick lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, and Murray & Lanman "Florida Water".

It's a dark and dreary day here so here's some "eldritch" Lovecraftian ambience to go with it. Hope you enjoy.
Another great shave today. Returned to Adopted Acres Soap Co. and their excellent "Lime on the Line" shave soap and splash. Great scent, but the spearmint and peppermint oils overpower the lime. A fantastic lather built with the Ever-Ready synth for three passes with the Rockwell 6S and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash and CBL Premium Barber Powder.
