Williams Mug Soap Challenge: Day 51

Superb BBS shave this morning! Great lather built with the T.G. Shave Co. synth for two passes plus touch-up with the '49 Executive. Wrapped up with alum, Thayers Cucumber witch hazel, SIR Irisch Moos aftershave lotion and a spray of vintage Avon "Deep Woods" EdC.

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Wonderful day ahead. Love this brush. Looks very "Spring-ish". Just wish it had a little more loft.

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Not much to report. Not the best night's sleep. A great shave and coffee are helping.

Not in the best mood this morning so that requires some appropriate music. Hope you enjoy.. or not, don't care.

Williams Mug Soap Challenge: Day 56

Wonderful shave this morning! Fantastic lather built with the Phoenix Shaving "The Starcraft" synth for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette TV Super Speed. Finished up with alum, Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, some Beecham era Aqua Velva aftershave lotion & a dusting of Williams Aqua Velva talc. Two calendar months with this soap (minus a couple of days when I was sick) and there's still a lot left on it.

The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Truck is in the shop. Out running errands yesterday and was coming back home when the battery warning light popped up on the display. Thought to myself "Great.. that's gonna be at least $200 ~ $250+ fix". Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. Next, the high temp & engine warning lights come on. Temp gauge immediately maxes and the truck suddenly starts running very roughly and the power steering goes out. At the time I was driving on a stretch of highway at 65mph along a series of bridges where there's no place to pull over whatsoever. So I'm forced to limp along until I could find a place to safely pull over, which I eventually do. I get out, popped the hood and there's coolant over pretty much everything. I also notice that the drive belt has slipped off at a couple of points (thinking the alternator and water pump but maybe more as that's all I could see). Call a tow ($100) and take it straight to the shop near my house. Thinking there's either a busted hose, radiator leak or the water pump. Dropped the key off this morning. Not looking forward to the bill for this one.
