Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
It's "Women of Rock Wednesday" and today I'm featuring a couple from Terri Nunn and her band, Berlin. Hope you enjoy.
Great shave this morning! Chris sent me a sample of his Pierre Cardin scented shave soap to test drive. First shave with it this morning. Great scent and fantastic lather built with the Stirling synth for three passes with the '61 Fatboy and I finished with alum, Quinn's Pink Grapefruit and Orange Rind witch hazel and vintage Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur ASL and EdC.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Steamy this morning! But not in a good way. Had some rain move through earlier and when I stepped out the door on my way to work, it was as if I had stepped back into the shower! YUCK!!!

Returning to proposed cover songs for my old band, here's a couple suggested by Jay, our lead singer. Hope you enjoy.
"Best Shave of the Week" contender this morning! Returned to ETHOS and Frank's excellent "Honeysuckle" soap and splash. Great scent! This product, like Clubman, takes me way back to my youth. Every time I use it, it reminds me of summertime and playing outside with my brother and cousins. Phenomenal lather built with the HelicLux synth for three passes with the '61 Fatboy and I finished with alum, Thayers unscented witch hazel and the matching skin food splash. No frag as this splash is EdT strength!
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Wife's doing okay. Went to the doc yesterday and got a steroid shot and Paxlovid.

Returning to a couple more suggestions from my old band today. We would sometimes play through the Ozzy song in the studio. Sounded great! That song would have definitely made it in the live show. Hope you enjoy.
Wasn't feeling great yesterday so I decided to observe "No Shave Sunday". That means today's shave was extra nice! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's excellent "Colonia" soap, splash and EdP. Been a while since I last used this soap and it's scent is an exact match to Acqua di Parma Colonia. Incredibly thick and slick lather built with the PAA synth for three passes with the British No.58 Set and I finished with alum, Quinn's "Pink Grapefruit and Orange Rind" witch hazel, the matching skin food splash, Pecksniff's Grapefruit and Citron" talc and the matching EdP.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Very "soupy" walking out the door this morning. Great time on the Zoom call last night and fantastic bingo game, Steven!

Great old school scent with excellent lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the British No.58 Set and I finished with alum, Quinn's "Pink Grapefruit and Orange Rind" witch hazel, vintage Avon "Bay Rum" aftershave lotion, Clubman talc and Ogallala Double Strength Bay Rum EdC.
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Not much to report. Still "swamp ass" weather here. However, I can tell the days are getting shorter. Driving east on my way into work, I had to put the visor down to block the sun.

Best shave of the week contender this morning! Returned to The Cajun Blade and Eric's excellent "Destin Breeze" shave soap. Fantastic scent with excellent lather built with the Sorrentino Brushworks synth for three passes with the '56 "Gold Tip" and I finished with alum, Quinn's "Pink Grapefruit and Orange Rind" witch hazel, Murray and Lanman Florida Water and Pecksniff's "Grapefruit and Citron" talc,
The "Happy Hogan" Homefront Report: Check up with the doc this morning. Getting another reprieve for the hot and humid weather coming in the next few days. Not looking forward to winter, but I'll be glad to finally get to autumn.
