If you have to do something...

Free Shave Day:

Gear: RR Hawk (v1), Feather Pro blade (1), RR Big Bruce synth, Williams soap (modern; as preshave), Scheermonnik Delfts Wit soap, generic witch hazel, and Pinaud Vanilla AS to close!

First time use of the Hawk today! Thanks TJ!

First impressions of the razor are favorable. This razor is light! Even more-so than the Baby Smooth. The blade seems to be hanging out quite a bit from it’s moorings inside the razor but, though it does feel a tad chatter-y, it’s not that bad really. The optimal angle wasn’t quite intuitive for me today, but I did get a cutting angle down just fine. The shave result itself was good with a decent amount of cleanup. With more use, this razor will do great! I am enjoying the AC SE format immensely!

Get to have another couple of early ins, early outs today and tomorrow at work. Definitely happy about that!

Finished the final season of Spooks yesterday. I must say that a lot of long running TV shows go out on a “meh” note as the writers seem to drag things out and run out of ideas. Spooks is one of the few that, I feel, finished well. Thanks Don, of the Dangerous sort, for that recommendation!

Have a great Friday all!

Free Shave Day:

Gear: RR Hawk (v1), Feather Pro blade (2), RR Big Bruce synth, SS Citrus & Bay soap, generic witch hazel, and Old Spice AS to close!

Today’s results ended up being good, though I thought I was missing a lot during the shave itself.

Shave conditions were pretty decent today. Lather was nice, probably could have added a touch more water. Blade felt fine, something about the Hawk seems to tame the sharpness quite a bit; it felt more like a DE today. A little bit of excessive clean up in some of the more difficult spots. Still, a closer shave and technique seems to be improving.

Off to work in a bit to prepare the grounds for services tomorrow. Only a couple of events happening today.

Later this evening, I’ll get to come home, hang out with the family, and perhaps get started on my next bible study teaching for this coming Thursday with the elders. Luke 22:47-71!

Hope everyone’s Saturday is off to a great start!

Thanks Dave! It’s about to get a whole lot better in a few, when I drive off from work! ?
