If you have to do something...

I'm so jealous of your running! I'm still stuck with walking and light exercise. It's been almost a year since my detached retina surgeries and the doctor still thinks its too risky for me to start running again... Next Dr. visit is in MAY, hopefully he'll clear me by then.

Crazy! Thank goodness you can do some physical activity though, I think I’d go crazy if I couldn’t (and be 50 lbs heavier).

I shouldn't have read these two posts in reverse order!

Good luck with getting cleared Matt. I actually have a ballet teacher friend with the same issue, she has to be extra careful in class.

Up for the weekly training run. 7 miles today I believe. Phew! Then the usual Saturday stuff commences after that.

Time to retire this Feather Pro Guard…it was getting a bit iffy. Forgot to order more but it might be fun to test drive a Schick Proline in the Tedalus.

Meetings first thing this morning, then a day at the facility.

Not exactly cold today but cool. Greeted by a nice grey marine layer as I stepped outside to let the dogs do their thing. Supposed to stay grey today…we’ll see.

Chris, you are faithful with your workouts and running. That is inspiring to me. I started home workouts supervised by a Physical Therapist last fall (stretching, legs, core, and upper body), and I'm doing them about 5 times a week. I'm already feeling and seeing some results. My PT says I have already met the very modest goals he set for me, but I will continue seeing him every two weeks for accountability. I'm also combining this with an effort to reduce carbs and increase protein, so hopefully that will help also.

Keep up the great work, my friend, and have a great day.

One of the universal life reflections I hear from patients is along the lines of “if you haven’t got your health, you’ve got nothing”. It’s important to try and keep ourselves healthy, while we’re able.
