Long day yesterday. Left our holiday spot mid morning to get back home in a timely manner. Made it back to SB in the evening to grab some things from home and head to the rental, since work on our house starts this morning. Spent a couple hours doing laundry at a laundromat…haven’t had to do that since the early days of marriage!
Now it’s Monday…back to work and playing catch up.

Work busyness and house trials continue. There’s now going to (so far) be a couple day delay on us getting back into our home but the rental we’re in can’t accommodate the extra days, so we have to mini-move once more just for the weekend. This also means we have to schlep our stuff around somehow Friday morning until we can get into the hotel, then again Monday morning back to the house while trying to get kids to school and do, you know, our jobs. Not to mention needing to move back in all our downstairs furniture and whatnot later that day. Ridiculous.
Good news is that with donation matching, I raised almost half of my charity sponsor goal! Fundraising continues until run-day.

Have finally gotten to watch the first few episodes of the final Stranger Things season. So far so good! Didn’t quite expect the direction it’s taken. Crazy to see how the actors have grown up over the last few years. They don’t look like high schoolers anymore! I can see why they were ready to move on lol.

Hell of a morning for sure. Whirlwind to pack up our remaining things and load the cars to clear out the Airbnb. Then as we finally and somewhat tardily are finally ready to head out and get to a packed day of work/school, the missus’ car doesn’t start. Mind you it’s been having some very slow starts here and there over the last couple weeks. We happened to have taken it in to the shop for something else t the beginning of this week but they said everything looked fine. Guess it wasn’t! Fortunately I keep cables in my car. So we were back on track, though a bit more tardy. Of course our property management team called this morning as well, to let us know we could check in early…too late for that folks! That would have been helpful information yesterday.
I tell ya. To quote the famous Red Foreman…”dumbass”.
