Overall a nice day yesterday. Plenty of time hanging out at home. Did venture to the beach midday and it was absolutely jam packed with locals and tourists but managed to get parking for a bit. The annual fireworks yesterday night were a disappointment though. Not only did a heavy marine layer fog roll in, but we found out too late they had moved the display from where it had been since forever, to down the beach a bit more, leaving quite a few normal viewing spots in the lurch.

The other major mark on the day was learning half way through it that my grandfather passed. He had already been on hospice for a number of months now but had seemed to be declining steadily. In the last two days though he’d had a status altering fall that really tipped the balance. A great man, as I knew him. Hitting 103 years old ain’t too shabby niether! May he now have found peace and wholeness in God’s loving presence.

Working today, so off to it! Happy Friday all!

Fairly typical Saturday in progress. OT workout, professional coffee, and chores, chores, chores.

Great shave after cleaning up from the gym. We’re in the final countdown to 1k now!

Looks like low to mid 80s the rest of this weekend and possibly through to the next. Suns out!

Great shave this morning! 3 quick and easy passes. Perfect lather from the clown puke. One of my favorite scent combos to finish it up.

Man, the smoke from the fires has been killing my allergies! A lot gets pushed back by our coastal winds, so that it basically sits most of the day in the surrounding mountains…but still, a fair bit or ash and general haze seems to stick around. Hopefully they get it put out soon!

Kicking off this morning with another meeting. Yay me! 😂
