Shave #46 (896 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Yaqi Moka synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Tom Ford Beau De Jour PB to finish!

Made it through the insanely busy day yesterday and through a tough OT workout. Feelin pretty pooped still this morning.

Great shave at least! Nothing really out of the ordinary to reportā€¦just excellent results. Finished up with a favorite frag - TF BJD! So good!

So glad itā€™s Fridayā€¦but another crazy day ahead. So weā€™ll see what kind of shape I arrive in at the closing bell. Another storm is supposed to roll in this weekend. Could be more heavy rains, weā€™ll see!

Happy Friday all!

More rain, have there been mudslides this season?

A good coffee, or two, will do a lot more than soap and water for your tired bones :)

Shave #47 (897 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Graydog Art Deco brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Dior Homme Sport ā€˜19 to finish!

Typical Saturday in progress. Cramming it all in before this rain is supposed to hit us come 6pm or so. OT workout, coffee, sticky bun, a haircutā€¦then chores.

Great shave while waiting on some laundry to finish. Decided to keep things lighter and sporty with DHS!

Plenty more laundry to knock out but not really much else thatā€™s clawing for attention. Thank goodness!

Happy Saturday all!

Shave #48 (898 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Graydog Art Deco brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Tom Ford Oud Wood to finish!

A great shave, smelling goodā€¦should be a decent day. Thankfully the rain has been tame so far!

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #49 (899 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Penhaligonā€™s Sartorial to finish!

Welpā€¦another holiday I donā€™t get off being in the healthcare industry. And itā€™s a Monday. And weā€™ve had pretty steady, moderate rain all night. That should at least taper off by this evening supposedly.

Great shave this morning to help get my tired šŸ« out of bed. Kept it simple, with a nice, clean finisher of Sartorial. Hmmmā€¦what should I used for number 900 tomorrow šŸ¤”

Another busy week of work, between my own patients and helping cover for a coworker on vacationā€¦then of course itā€™s IDT week, so at least 3 one hour to two hour long meetings this week. Boooo!

Happy Monday all!

Shave #50 (900 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Dior Homme Sport ā€˜19 to finish!

A busy day indeed yesterday with some decent bouts of rain here and there. Should hold off on its last hurrah until tonight, but itā€™ll be cloudy all day.

Skated my way into and through my 900th open blade shave. Was pretty much business as usual. Itā€™s still about 50/50 on whether or not a walk away with a little nick or twoā€¦very minor mind you. Just a tough hair that got raised a bit too much and so skin was cut. Irritation only really happens when I push a little too much or hang on to a blade too long. So I wouldnā€™t say Iā€™ve developed a master touch but I get along by!

IDT meeting this morningā€¦then a day largely spent at the EOL facility.

Happy Tuesday all!

Congratulations, Chris. 900 open blade shaves is quite an accomplishment. šŸ™‚

Great shave this morning. As fun as it can be to use open blades, itā€™s nice to also have the chill shaves of a DE or injector. Award winning scent combo today. Ready to go!

Surprise, surpriseā€¦another busy day ahead! Visits out and about town. 2 sports games this afternoon/evening for the older boys. Fortunately at home.

Happy Wednesday all!

Shave #52 (900 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Schick M Adjustable injector, twin blade, Razorock Big Bruce synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Captainā€™s Choice Venture AS, and Fine Platinum EDT to finish!

Phew, manā€¦long day yesterday. Busy work day, followed by two games for the older boys. Ended up not getting home until after 8. Side note - Lacross has to be just about the most ridiculous ā€œsportā€ game Iā€™ve ever seen. Bunch of kids running around whacking each other with sticks.

Great shave this morning to help wake me up. Went for the Aventus profile to seal the deal. Not sure how many shaves are on this twin injector blade now, but itā€™s still going strong!

Starting todayā€™s work day off with back to back IDT meetings, which will likely absorb a good 3 hoursā€¦then home visits.

Hopefully I can squeeze in an OT workout this evening!

Happy Thursday all!
