Shave #32 (882 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Yaqi Sagrada Familia synth brush, CBL Fresh Vetiver soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Comme Des GarƧon Avignon to finish!

Man, rough night. Started raining about 9 last night and was fairly torrential, with winds, through about 5 this morning. Did not sleep well. Boooo.

Great shave at least to help me wake up. The soap survives another day. The blade delivers another day. A nice warming scent to finish upā€¦Avignon! ā›Ŗļø

Weather has broke for now, though still chances of more till the afternoon. Which is great, since I have some visits to do around town. Supposed to really pick back up this weekend possibly.

Have a great Thursday all!

Look at the bright side, you got your work out in ahead of schedule.

Shave #33 (883 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Yaqi Moka synth brush, CBL Fresh Vetiver soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Rochas Moustache EDP to finish!

Ahhhh Friday! Much better nightā€™s rest as well!

Great shave this morning. Definitely must remember to change the blade tomorrow. Should reach 900 open blade shaves much easier then. Finished the shave with that nice boozy vanilla of Moustache EDP.

Busy day ahead. Thankfully itā€™ll at least be sunny. Second half of the storm should roll in tomorrow or Sunday. Still a toss up as to how bad it will be.

Happy Friday all! Almost to that weekend!

Shave #34 (884 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Trotter Handcrafts Taurus A brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Brooklyn Grooming Anchor AS, and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille to finish!

Fairly typical Saturday in so far, doing what we can before this rainstorm hits. Schools already sent out closure notices in anticipation for Monday. OT workout, some coffee and breakfast, then back home to knock out chores.

Great shave after a nice shower. Weā€™re on the back half of 800 OB shaves for sure nowā€¦900 in my sights! CBL Fresh Vetiver (at least this tub; I have another) is no moreā€¦itā€™s last remnants have been assimilated into the Clown Puke tub. Stirling Agar is an excellent soap base and great change from the fairly neutral Vetiver of before. This one exudes a fairly strong (albeit synthetic) agar wood scent. Probably would have been better suited to start in the Fall, but here we are. Topped off with a single spritz of Tobacco Vanille.

More laundry to take care of, otherwise Iā€™m in the clear!

Happy Saturday all!

Decent rains been coming down since last night, along with some decent winds. Not a good nights rest unfortunately, though Iā€™m sure some of it was settling soreness from the workout. It does seem to catch up to me 12-24 hours later at times.

Great shave at least! Only a couple little blips on the mustache area. Finished up with DHO!

No church this morning, so no one has to brave the weather. So a chill day at home! The real stroking is supposed to set in some time today.

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Shave #35 (885 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Stirling 2-band synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Fine American Blend AS, and YSL Rive Gauche to finish!

As mentioned, decidedā€¦what the heckā€¦just supposed to be a triage-your-patients-but-otherwise-stay-home day. So I set my alarm a half hour later. What happens? I wake up to zero rain, birds chirping, and even the sun is peeking out a bit. So here I beā€¦at work already, trying to get some things done before it may try to rain again.

Great shave though! 3 smooth passes, topped off with Rive Gauche, and rocking my newest Spooner shirt.

Mondays, I tell ya!

Shave #36 (886 Open Blade Shaves) of 2024:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather Pro Guard blade, Simpson The Duke synth brush, Stirling Agar soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Captainā€™s Choice Venture AS, and Fine Platinum EDT to finish!

More heavy rain overnight, but itā€™s stopped by this morning. Possibly some more this afternoon/evening!

Great shave this morning. Darker scent combos to wrap things up. I do wish this brush were more comfortable. I wonder if it would be worth the effort to have someone re-knot it. Iā€™d hate to mess it up otherwise šŸ¤”

IDT meeting this morning to start work off. Then Iā€™ll be at the EOL facility most of the shift. Should be a decent day!

Have a great Tuesday all!
