Have a great evening! Their YT channel is lots of fun. I hope they play as well as they comment/critique
I’m hoping too! Ling ling 40 hours!

If nothing else, it’s quality time spent and at least it’ll be preceded hopefully by a decent dinner out 😂

Shave #275 (805 Open Blade Shaves) of 2023:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather ProGuard blade, Yaqi Rainbow w/ pony synth brush, CBL Fresh Vetiver soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, CBL California Sunrise AST, and Dior Homme Sport ‘19 to finish!

Great fun at the show last night. Corny jokes abounded and excellent performances of classical music in an accessible way. What’s more accessible than hula hoops right?

Great shave this morning. A bit tired since we got back home late. Rushing around to get out the door and to the DMV for some almost forgotten renewal stuffs 😅

Happy Wednesday all!

That must have been a hoot and a half!! 😃

Shave #276 (806 Open Blade Shaves) of 2023:

Gear: Tedalus Essence, Feather ProGuard blade, Simpson Duke synth brush, CBL Fresh Vetiver soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe, Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, CBL Barba AST, and Penhaligon’s Sartorial to finish!

Tough OT workout last night…but I made it through! Hell Week is coming up at the end of the month too.

A little groggy this morning from the extra effort, but made it through the shave and had pretty darn good results. Went with fresher scents today to finish - Barba AST along with some generous sprays of Sartorial!

Yesterday ended up being much warmer than predicted, high 80s instead of mid. Should get a bit warmer still through the weekend; hard to tell because the forecast is constantly fluctuating.

IDT this morning, then some home visits!

Happy Thursday all!

It’s Fridaaaaaay! Gonna be a warm one, but I’ll deal.

Great shave this morning! Decided to take a page out of Mark’s book and go a bit fancy with scents. CBL Vetiver could just about be matched with anything. Proraso Red for the AS…running pretty low on this one; while I wouldn’t bring back in the soap, I’m thinking the AS is good enough to rebuy. Then Amouage Jubilation XXV for the finisher!

At least half the day to spend at the EOL facility…after that, who knows! Maybe I’ll get to head home a little early and wrap things up there (*knock on wood*). I find out this weekend my jury duty status as well.

Have a great Friday all!

I find out this weekend my jury duty status as well.
I've had jury duty three times and found it generally interesting. The county's selection process is cumbersome when you get to the courthouse, and here you spend a lot of time sitting around waiting. Once seated in a jury things move along. I've been on two civil court juries, one was settled midway in and we were dismissed, and the other was given to us to decide, which we had little trouble doing. I consider jury duty a responsibility and a privilege. I remember thinking I owed the two sides in the case my undivided attention. It's a critical event in their lives, and if I were in their position, I'd certainly want an attentive jury deciding it.

I have mixed feelings about it. It is at once a privilege and duty as a citizen of a democracy, but at the same time nothing about our current society or the way the system is enacted make it an appetizing prospect and easy to want to do. I’m sure there’s no easy solution to a middle ground.
