I was pretty scrubby! More unshaven hipster than full on bearded hippie thoughI
It's about time you hippie!
Yikes! I would have jumped at those orders! A plankowner on a ship stationed in Hawaii. You must really hate moving!had the option of getting stationed on a brand new destroyer out of Hawaii.. I turned it down.
Yes. Yes, I do!Yikes! I would have jumped at those orders! A plankowner on a ship stationed in Hawaii. You must really hate moving!
The climate is amazing! We might not live right on the beach, but it’s beach living! Doors and windows open all the time, constant cool breezes, foggy/misty mornings, middle of summer and we haven’t broken 80 yet as far as I know. The scenery is nice too. Lush hills to the east and beachfront to the west. 5-15 minutes from everything!what's your favorite thing about the new place?
And this my friends is why Mark isn't married to a Hula girlhad the option of getting stationed on a brand new destroyer out of Hawaii
No worries Cole!Hey Chris, sorry I'm the worst for following the journals. Where are you moving to? Why? Exciting!?
We're looking to move soon too, the noise from the 24 hour a day parties in the park next to us is getting to be too much, plus the group of chain smoking shipyard workers below are killing us.
Did you score that NOS can of Rive Gauche?
Oh wow Santa Barbara, that's a big step up from Sacto! Nice, it's such a lovely area of CA. Other than Isla Vista, lol.No worries Cole!
Let’s see…moved 6 hours south of where we last lived (from Sacramento to Santa Barbara; still CA) for a new job of being a hospice chaplain. The missus also got a new job down here as an executive assistant to a well established, high end real estate team.
Sorry you’re having that experience. That was pretty much our life also most of the time, when we lived in Chico (total college party city). Hope you can find some thing with better neighbors!
And yes, I did! I’ve used it twice so far and it survived the move. What a fantastic buy that was! Fine American Blend comes very close but the real thing has more stages of scent and depth. So good!
Thanks! You’re welcome, of course!Oh wow Santa Barbara, that's a big step up from Sacto! Nice, it's such a lovely area of CA. Other than Isla Vista, lol.
Congrats on getting the position, though it must be an emotionally difficult one.
For sure I'll have to visit next time I'm in Camarillo to see my mom. I attend a temple in Santa Barbara myself when I'm there, miss it terribly.
Rive Gauche Pour Homme really is something special, I'm a bit hesitant to use it, but it's truly 'niche' quality as they say, just a lot of depth and nothing cheap smelling about it. I can't comprehend why YSL dropped it, but I hear that the glass bottle version was already a diluted version. I just don't get that aspect of the industry.
That and Rive Gauche Pour Homme never lost it's core following, just look at all the RGPH replacement videos out there. It's one of the most cherished masculines ever made. Thanks! You’re welcome, of course!
Yea, I don’t get that piece of the industry either. I mean, unless a fragrance totally tanks, why get rid of it? Even with changing times and tastes, most things find some kind of cyclical popularity.
