Hey @GearNoir read your previous post with the “spoiler”. My take on last year with the IMHO unconstitutional restrictions. Was that it (government) does not and should not have that much authority at the federal level. Too much centralized power almost always results in permanent loss of freedom. History 101 kind of stuff. Keep it local. My local county executive, sheriff and state reps are much easier to deal with than even the governor’s office. My $.02.

Oh I’m on board with you there. Everything should have been heavily recommended guidelines for the local authorities to follow up on. It has been quite messy in either regard, particularly in CA. I’m not down for some dictatorship or fascist government system...heck no!

Going back through my 12 Whiskeys of Christmas sampler in reverse order. First time through was neat, second time through was with some drops of water, this time I’m pouring the last third over an ice cube. Not changing my rankings though.
Tonight last 1/3 of #7: Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Scent: Mmm out of everything tried with ice so far, this one probably Ly is closest to its neat smell, sharpened up and refreshing on the nose. A fun, buttery, caramel, bourbon smell with some orangey depth.
Taste: Surprisingly still little change here. Maybe I just didn’t let this one sit as long as some of the others! IDK. Some of the oaky char comes out much sharper at the end. The spice isn’t quite as apparent. Maybe a tad harsher on the tongue.
Timing must be everything when it comes to whiskey on the rocks. Needs to sit just long enough to chill but not so long as to be washed out.

Decent night’s rest. Up at a decent hour too to make it in for a church service
Pretty darn good shave. Brought out the Feather SS and Prewar Tech to play. The Tech will be my main driver this week. Top class products with the Oud Minerale duo. Smelling darn good!

Off to a great start today. Plenty of rest and another nice morning out with the missus for coffee and a walk.
Great shave with Soloist and accompanying ensemble. Soloist just hit the spot today and meshes very well with Encre Noire IMO. Great combo!
Everyone is enjoying their holiday...so that means a headache free day so far for mom n dad!

Boy am I bleary eyed this morning! Even went to bed a bit earlier than normal, just woke up a lot I guess.
Great shave alongside my cup of joe to get things moving though. Seeing a little bit o day light in the middle of my tub once again, which bodes well as I already had reformed and compacted it a couple weeks ago. We’re getting somewhere!
Not much happening today at work, just more taping, painting, and removing tape.

My wife can't be bothered taping off before painting, which drives me nuts. Painting gives you instant gratification, which is always nice.
