Shave #328 (368 Open Blade Shaves) of 2019:

Gear: RR GC .68, Astra SP blade, Sorrentino TSC 1st Anniversary badger brush, CBL Oud Minerale soap, generic witch hazel, Thayer’s Medicated, Lucky Tiger AS, and TF Oud Minerale to finish!

Finally! The shave I’ve been waiting for all week!

Finished work strong last night, only had to stay a little bit longer than expected. The shower n shave was a welcome refresher this morning. Let the badger soak in warmed while showering. When I was ready to go, just a gentle squeeze and shake out. CBL Oud Minerale loaded up in like 5 seconds flat. Built up enough lather for a solid 3 passes plus lather soak (which looked like I could have done another 2 passes), I need to mix it up since there’s quite a bit of oils showing in the pockets of the bottom of the tub...but really, with the GC whipping about and the Minerale scent, the shave was sublime.

Post shave I gave myself some generous pumps of my TF sample with an extra on top of my shirt. I was worried initially, it came out alcohol-y and strange smelling. It quickly morphed into a light aquatic...and seemed to almost disappear. After about 15 minutes, it popped back up out of nowhere, projection and all, into that nice salty, oceanic breeze scent we all know so well from Chris’ soap. Hoping it’s all all-day-er for longevity on me, because I’m loving it!

Services this morning, then a chill day at home with the family. Kids have this week off...that should prove interesting...

Have a blessed Sunday all!

Well, it’s been almost 12 hours now and I’m still getting Oud Minerale whiffs (I think that one extr spritz to the shirt helped greatly in that regard). That dry Sandalwood/driftwood base note has amazing longevity.

It’s been an amazing day for the senses. Still not sure the price tag is justified, but it is top notch juice if you can get your hands on some. Could otherwise very easily be one of my main go-tos for any time of year in a small rotation with Guerlain Vetiver and a couple others yet to be found.

Chill morning - lazy wake up, shower, n shave. Hanging out with the boys this morning while the missus is at work. Then we pull the old switcheroo and I work/she comes home. Hopefully an easy week!

Have a great Tuesday all!

I miss normal work hours...I’d happily trade. :ROFLMAO:
Lol me too. Too be fair I rarely work a midnight shift, but my schedule is usually all over the place aside from that. For months I would be scheduled 2-10pm one evening and 6am-2pm the next day twice a week. Not the worst thing ever, but my days off change weekly as well.

my schedule is a set rotation but from that outside looking in that is pretty much what people see for me too.
