@Dagwoodz wasn't this one made at your behest?
Since Josh isn't on much and may miss this, I'll respond. He was the one that requested it and it was a pretty limited run in Premium Base. I was fortunate enough to get one then. I'm glad it is still being made in the newer bases as I'll want to keep it in the den since I just got the Sunshine Man EdP

This! I love the SMC scent. Absolutely recommend this one.

As stated (and quoted above), California Sunrise is awesome. I have the Tonsorial, which is a lighter scent strength. In my opinion, this is perfect strength for summer shaves (and it's definitely a summer scent). Not sure if the Premium is the same strength or a bolder blend. I definitely wouldn't do well with the Cologne. I don't wear colognes, but if I did, I certainly would want one that strong. Lol.

What?! This isn't one in familiar with. An older or upcoming release? Based on the name, it's what... Bourbon and Rose? Very interesting.

Dave answered below on the California Sunrise scent being made in the newer bases. As far as the EdP is concerned, to combat the strength you just have to limit how much is sprayed and how close to the body (limit the concentration) if you're sensitive to strong scents or work in an environment where it's discouraged.

Oh yeah, baby!!!!

Sunshine man/California sunrise is still a very limited availability scent simply because it’s difficult to acquire what I need to make it at a decent price. I have learned to buy as much as I can get my hands on. It IS a very good scent that I expect few will ever include in their lineup because the fragrance oil(s) are not common.

Rosa Bourbon/Bourbonia is a type of rose that is incredible...simply the best. Unfortunately it’s oil is Uber expensive and not available in a cheap fake. Simply finding a trusted source of the oil or atar has been difficult (I have recently found a couple possible ones) just getting a sample to confirm the scent quality costs an average of $100...but oh how lovely the scent. I would make that scent again in a heartbeat but if/when I do it will definitely be in a micro batch if 6-15 tubs. The only other guy I recommend getting this scent from is Jabonman (whatever his brand is called)he is my original inspiration and he does it best.

@CBLindsay ... is it Eufros, by chance?
Yes, that's it. If you find Eufros Rosa Bourbon GET IT! He makes different quality bases but the Rosa Bourbon is made in his more expensive (higher quality?) base. I am making no judgement about the soap, it performs well enough you won't feel like you paid to much. I think BullGoose is a USA based retailer for him but I have not seen Rosa Bourbon for sale. I assume the oil is just as expensive and hard to find for Manuel as i is for me. I tried having the oil refined for me by a professional distiller in China and they said "Oh...That stuff is expensive we can't do that". Its a very nice scent though.

Russian tea's scent description sounds like a scent that I would really like. The only thing I worry about is the cinnamon.

A few years back I purchased caties bubbles LPV and while I liked the scent and performance. It gave my face a bad burning reaction. Some people were saying that they had a similar experience. So as much as I like cinnamon. It's best for me to pass on it in my shave soap.:(

Of the 3 I bought, I've only tried the Fresh Lime.
It smells exactly like Queen Charlotte Soaps (RIP) Iced Key Lime which is exactly what I was hoping for.
If only I could feel the cooling effect of the WS5.

See CBL has released a few new scents since the last post here.

The Bay Rhum has me curious and I don't have any Bay Rhum in my shaving rotation right now.

Anyone find any new scents that they recommend. Or are looking to purchase soon?

Tucson Lime and Patchouli are a couple of my new favorites. I also scored an old tub of Hippie, which is Nag Chama & Patchouli, which is delightful.

So back in October, after reading the positive reviews here, I put an order in for ROS and Dragon’s Blood from the CLB Tonsorial line. @CBLindsay kindly included a sample of SIR Irish in my order as well. I’ve used the soaps many times over the past month and I have really been taken by their performance. They build a great lather and I love the post-shave feel. The SIR Irish scent is a new favorite for me and my wife (thank goodness since she is particular about what scents I wear). I would happily buy a full puck of it tomorrow if I could find more on the site. I say all this to say, get some SIR Irish if you have the chance, it’s my current favorite scent. Oh, and yeah the Roasted Oatmeal Stout does smell good enough to eat.
