Down the rabbit hole

Nice shave today, only did 2 passes with no cleanup pass. This razor may need a touch up, I stropped it after the first pass and that really helped the slight dragging that I was feeling. I know stropping is my weak link and something I've been working on. But other than that the shave went great. Straight shave #6420250619_162239.jpg
 
Been awhile since I've posted, so I'm going to post an update i think I'm on straight shave 69 now. I did a shave the other day off my bevel set which I did on a shapton rockstar 2K, and I was very surprised at how comfortable the shave was. I've since came to the conclusion that we really over complicate this hobby 🤣. Coming off the 2k I stropped it 25 on linen fire hose, 50 on denim and 30 on leather. So now im going to shave off each step of my progression which usually goes 2k, 6k, 10k and black or green shadow.

You know, I've only been told that a hundred times, and it took trying it for myself to believe just how true that statement is. I never thought that the bevel set could be a truly comfortable shave.🤣🤣 Why are we so stubborn
 
Today is my 10th anniversary with my wonderful and beautiful wife. She told me she was going to get me a vector because I loved it so much, but she surprised me with a polishee Titanium vector with the normal and open comb base plates along with the stand. I just had the best shave of my life. I could just be biased and placebo myself but the Titanium seems to be a smoother shave while being just as efficient. The Luxury lumberjack by Eric thecajunblade is gorgeous and my new favorite. Again everything about this shave could be better because its my 10th anniversary but it was wonderful.
Ps I bought my wife a rose gold ring with a pearl and 2 small diamond, one on each side of the pearl. She loves it, but I think my daughter loves it more 🤣🤣20250829_100419.jpg

Sounds like you have a fantastic wife! Cheers to the two of you!

We will have our 13th in September! Now I gotta make some hints at the Vector myself!
 
It's been quite awhile since I've made a post in the journal and even made a post here, started a night shift, more like 2nd shift. I usually get home around midnight and on the new schedule I've found it harder to keep up with everything. During the day before work I'm out in the yard and then when I get home it's time for bed 🤣😂. But Im here still kicking and shaving. I did make a small leap into JNATs which was a bigger learning curve than I originally expected, but the edges are coming along nicely
