Overview
A better shave today.

Shave Quality
Today was a definite improvement on yesterday. It was comfortable with low irritation. Some of the razor burn came back, but not much. Also, a couple of the nicks reopened, but not badly. Overall it was a good two pass BBS-.

Gear
The RR Game Changer is a great razor. It works well, but I don't like how the blade loads. I wish they had used the standard configuration between cap and plate.

Other Thoughts
It is Monday and I am at work. Things could be better, but things could be much, much worse.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Shave Quality
A really nice, low irritation shave today. It was two passes for BBS-. The lather was good. The post-shave was excellent. I have no complaints.

Gear
Realistically I could shave happily for the rest of my days if I only had a handful of razors. At least one of those razors would have to be a Post-War Tech. I love the Gillette Tech, especially with the ball-end handle. (BTW, I also really like the "Bomb Tip" handle that PAA makes it is basically just a bigger version of the Gillette ball-end handle.) The Tech just works with my face and gives me a great shave every time.

I had the fourth shave with the VIG Shaving brush today and it lost a couple more hairs. Of the 4 shaves, there has only been one where it did not lose at least a couple of hairs. If it is still shedding after the first week, I am going to be rather disappointed. These knots have had good reviews in the past, but maybe the quality has slipped? Or, maybe I just got a bum knot? The brush has excellent face feel. It has soft tips with decent backbone. I hope it stops shedding.

Other Thoughts
Started playing Breath of the Wild last night. It is a very pretty game. The visuals are really, really well done. The game play is also excellent. I am going to be spending lots of time on this one.

Once the game opened up some, I really binged it. It quickly became one of my series favorites.

Needed a break from the badger smell...

Shave Quality
The lather was thicker, but drier today. Go figure, I was using a synthetic. The shave was excellent. I am BBS- for the day. Still really liking the CBL Tonsorial.

Gear
The Tech Hive is a great brush. I highly recommend that you pick one up. @Techichi has a real winner here. It was a welcome break from badger funk today. (Yes, the VIG Shaving Silvertip still has some funk to it after a shampooing and 4 shaves.)

The CBL Tonsorial BETA is giving me some good results. It does need a little more water than other modern soaps. When using it with a badger this is not much of a problem since badgers hold more water. But, when using a synthetic, make sure to add a bit extra. I need to haul out a boar and my horse to see how those work with this soap.

Other Thoughts
I was up until 01:00 playing Breath of the Wild. I started playing a little before 20:00. This is one of the best new games that I have played in a few years.

Nice shave and read, Doug. I've had a couple of VIG shaving badgers, and always soaked them in OxiClean and warm water for 10 minutes. Rinse and repeat a couple times and the funk was almost completely gone.

I think I'll pick up Breath of the Wild next week. I've heard really good things, but reading that you and @GearNoir love it is pushing me to buy it.
