My wife got her #2 Pfizer a week ago, no real side effects until 2 days ago. No way to know yet if her flu-like symptoms are related to the shot or part of a new flair up of an old issue. I got my #2 Moderna 5 days ago and had fever/chills about 12hrs later but have been well since.

Its really exciting and impressive to see that we were able to design and manufacture an effective vaccine in such short a time frame. The part that makes me REALLY sad however, is that I had a couple close friends die rather suddenly from COVID in January and February. To think we had the vaccines (mostly) available at that time or shortly after makes their death seem insulting as much as it is painful.

@FarmerTan

Are you feeling better my friend?
It comes and goes. Random pains, sometimes intense. Random dizziness. Brain fog (lol, yeah, even WORSE than pre covid-19!) some days. FATIGUE! That and being short of breath with the least bit of exertion are my biggest complaints.

My fear is that I'm one of the "Long Haulers" because I have always had less than ideal health, but have ALWAYS been one that is able to claw my way back out of the hole.

Lol, what a "loser baby" I sound like! Sorry, but I blame you because you asked!

Hang in there, brother.

Busy week coming up. On Friday I head north to pick up older daughter from college in Montreal. Unlike the last 3 trips, this time I will be able to cross the border and pick her up, as long as I have no direct contact with anyone. Fair trade and I’ll take it. I have to get a COVID-19 pcr test ahead of time, so that is scheduled for midweek. But I also get Pfizer shot #2 on Tuesday. So much going on!

Older daughter gets Moderna #1 after we get back. If only they could approve shots for the younger ones, I could get daughter #2 vaccinated. Patience grasshopper...patience.

I'll take the blame if you get better, deal?

I think it's 16 and up here, and younger folks aren't affected as bad as older folks.

Mighty powerful immune response going on in my house right now. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Sore arm, body aches, mild fever and chills. Easily the most powerful vaccine I have taken.
