That would only be if they have the vaccine to support it. We can't get enough here.
Maine went with an age based approach. The first was 70+ and then 60+. These groups were struggling getting enough vaccines for the demand. Just last week the age went to 50+. The demand hasn't been as great and the vaccine available increased so they are opening 16+ starting sometime next week.

We are at about 30% that have had at least their first shot. About 49% of our state is over 50. This tells me that 12-15% in the 50 and above group probably don't want to get it. The 16 and below group is about 16% of the population isn't eligible.
I'm guessing we will hit around 55% vaccinated and things will stall out.

I got my second shot of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. It hit me pretty hard, and I've felt relief in only the past four hours. But, I've never felt better about feeling so bad.

Dang Frank! Sorry to hear. Hope you can recover quickly 😯

I finally registered to get the vaccine. Our regional HR rep at work said we now qualify as “transportation and logistics essential workers” but apparently that wasn’t for NJ. Only Public Transportation workers currently qualify here (which we aren’t). But since I renewed my real estate license last month, I now qualify under that category. I guess now I just play the hurry up and wait game until I’m notified of an available appointment.

I became eligible to register on Monday and did. I then spent a bunch of time looking for appointments and found a drive thru vaccination site supplied by the state with a bunch of appointments. So I made one and got my first Pfizer shot on Tuesday. Shot #2 is scheduled for 3 weeks from now.

My arm hurts, but it’s the happiest I’ve been in months.

I'm so glad to hear this!

I have lost loved ones to this, and I was diagnosed by positive DEEP nasal swab on March 8, 2021.

I have NEVER felt stranger than I have since around the 5th or so. Not being able to smell ANYTHING is just plain weird.

I pray that you all stay healthy. I initially thought I had a mild case. Now I'm just so sick in such strange ways.

My pain has been off the charts. I was born with some birth defects that have required so many surgeries I honestly have lost count. Other than kidney stones, I can think of nothing that has had me in this much pain. Narcotics have not touched this pain. lol, the tips of the hair on my head even hurt up to an 11 on the pain scale. If I were an animal I'd crawl into the back of a cave.

Do what you must folks to not get this illness. It's like nothing I have ever seen, and I'm a retired nurse.

The fatigue, the sweats, stomach upset, headaches....how much time ya got?

AND IT HAS NOT EVEN GOTTEN CLOSE TO MY LUNGS! Think about that a minute. I'm MISERABLE, and my lungs are UNAFFECTED! And I have lung disease that was the main factor that caused Social Security to classify me disabled.

There is NO predicting this disease, so please be cautious!

Sorry for the ramblings my friends. Stay safe, Dave

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Sending all positive vibes your way to help get you through.

Totally by surprise, the risk group I am in is able to book appointments now. Thankfully my wife has been monitoring the website, otherwise I wouldn't have known. I was able to book an appointment online yesterday, and get the shot on Saturday.

The AZ vaccine has been suspended here, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be the Pfitzer one I get.

Anyway, I'm really happy about it, feels like there's some light at the end of the tunnel. I know it's not a perfect solution, but, I'm going to feel a lot less anxiety about getting out of the house once I've gotten the full course.

Woah, so sorry to hear that FarmerTan.

I think we're all going to be in hotspots very soon.
People getting too relaxed before enough are vaccinated. This area of PA was headed down sharply and now back up she goes. Peak 4 on our continuous wave.

My business partner is an MD and this was exactly his main concern last time we talked about it.
I've seen some reports that seem to back it up as well.

I suppose it's a combination of combat fatigue, and false expectations on how the vaccine works.

Got the first injection of the Pfizer vaccine on Saturday. Thankfully no side effects other than being a bit tired, which could have been due to the 25 minute walk to a from in hail and wind storm.

That's the longest I've been outdoors in months. I feel like I might need therapy to be in close proximity to strangers again.
