Okay My mom just called me and she got her Moderna shot and she's doing good. No reaction or any negative side effects !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys I was worried about her... Since Tuesday I have barely slept because first I was worried about my dad getting his shot on Wed and then Wed night worrying about any side effects my dad might have experienced and then Thursday I barely slept worried about my moms today and I know tonight I wont sleep much worried about side effects for her !! So maybe tomorrow night I will finally be able to get some sleep.....
 
Okay Mom said today she had a little bit of a headache and some stiffness / soreness BUT she said her arm that they gave her the shot in doesnt really hurt because right after they gave her the shot she started moving her arm around and wouldnt let it become stiff and it helped Prevent the pain in the arm.......
 
The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are super effective at getting an immune response. I read somewhere that after getting both doses, people are registering 17 times the level of antibodies as those who were actually infected. That’s serious horsepower. I know of folks who ran fevers for a day or two and just generally felt washed out for a few days (especially after the second dose), both of which are normal effects of a strong immune response.

I am still waiting patiently for my chance and will get it as soon as my number comes up.

I had heard that also about if you do get aches and pains its a good sign because it means your immune system is doing what its supposed to do... I guess my wife will be next in my family to get it since she is considered an essential worker but I may be able to get the vaccine when she does because of what is being considered "essential" might include myself also... I guess I shall see when the time comes.....

I hope you get it too. It’s too easy to forget that an essential worker’s family is also very at risk from exposure.

Thanks. I know they have been saying something lately about including IT and repair as essential and while I'm staying at home with the kids for school that is what I'm doing part time So I might get put in with my wife's group so I could get the shot then. Like I said though we shall see how this unfolds..
 
Had to take my wife for her "onboarding" training with the company that bought out her old company and the kids wanted to make sure we all stayed safe while we were out !!

Well, both of my kids and wife tested positive at the end of last week. Somehow, I have come through this negative. The kids are on the upswing and my wife is up and down. Nothing too serious though. Just aches, lethargy, and coughing. I joked around with her asking her if it is just an excuse to hang out in bed all day.

On a more positive note, both of my parents are scheduled to get their first shot on the 8th.

Hope that’s the worst of it for your family! Great that you’re gonna get your vaccine!
