I guess you haven't been reading all the forums here then.I still don't know anyone who's been infected, and I won't name them, but my doctors office hasn't seen any either.
Then You have been lucky !!!!... I hope that luck remains for you.... others have NOT been so lucky though...I still don't know anyone who's been infected, and I won't name them, but my doctors office hasn't seen any either.
It sounds as though they intend to start by vaccinating “frontline workers” and the “vulnerable” first. I was thinking it might make more sense to focus on the younger, active and working crowd since they get credit for being the current source of silent spreading (my thoughts being make THEM the firewall and work outward) but my 2 cents are worth much less today than they were when I was in charge. But seriously, wouldn’t this mean you are an intended vaccine recipient? I hear you tend to feel like a pile of poo for a day but otherwise the vaccine is pretty well tolerated.Well, it's coming again. The organization is getting ramped up for a surge bigger than the last one and they haven't been wrong in their planning yet. But we're also making our plans for the new treatment and vaccines. I guess one can view it as getting through a terrible winter in the country and then finally putting the major flames out on this thing.
I do have a close connection to more than one death but none I know of who simply tested positive and recovered quickly. My son has employees under him who have tested positive and been sick a week or two then returned to work. They report feeling pretty bad but are otherwise quick to recover...all of them have been young healthy men.I still don't know anyone who's been infected, and I won't name them, but my doctors office hasn't seen any either.
I do believe so. It will depend on how strict they are with "frontline" workers. If it's essential hospital personnel, then yes. If it's direct caregivers, no. Before frontline workers, my understanding is the very first are those working/living in assisted living facilities or some combination. It sounds as though they intend to start by vaccinating “frontline workers” and the “vulnerable” first. I mean real world people who I've seen face to face or are related to, not internet people.I guess you haven't been reading all the forums here then.
The vaccine sounds kinda rough; "Participants in Moderna and Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine trials told CNBC in September that they were experiencing high fever, body aches, bad headaches, daylong exhaustion and other symptoms after receiving the shots."My daughter's school has gone all remote again into the middle of December. They've only had two documented cases of kids at school testing positive to prompt the second stage of management. The first, in early October, resulted in that student's cohort doing remote instruction with all being tested, and there were no other positives. The more recent one in early November went through the same process, only this time, multiple other students (all asymptomatic) also tested positive. They're not saying that the positive case in the group infected them, just that it was evidence of much greater community spread, all of which is consistent with rising positive test rates here in my little corner of PA.
These vaccines can't get distributed soon enough.
Every time I post in this thread sirens and warnings happen, what the heck man?!!!Folks:
Just a gentle reminder that all Covid related posts should and need to be posted HERE, not in the open forum. With differing opinions it is much easier to contain a debate should it arise on one thread and not in the open forum. Also a reminder that ALL of our members have differing opinions. Per the TOU we need to respect those opinions.
We have been extremely patient in keeping this thread open for discussion. We should not have to keep reminding everyone about decorum, and respect. Any reference to a person or persons that have a differing opinions should not be called names, referred to as "Certain Group" or otherwise. We have given a ton of latitude here, please respect that as well.
Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation
