Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

That soap sounds awesome! You said they have a balm but not a splash, does the company not offer splashes?

Oh it's awesome. Buy it and thank me later!

Nope, just balms until Chad calls them and TELLS them to make some

You live an hour away. Perhaps we get you a new contract for ya business and then convince him to make splashes

More like 2 hours. Too far and they don't show a store front, ship on Tuesday and Friday so this may be a sideline business. Besides, I don't want any more accounts that will eat into my Cadre reading time. How's that for dedication ???

Well I expect you to use the snow blower. Else it would have cut into your time to make eggs and pancakes! That soap sounds divine! Adding that to my list also of soaps I need to get after I get back from my trip!

Anyone who enjoys a nice bourbon will like this soap

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Lord Super Stainless (2)
Soap/cream: Lakewood Honey Mash
Brush: Paladin PK47
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Clubman Whiskey Woods

Pretty much the exact same shave yesterday except I used the Paladin. After using this soap for a second time I really focused on getting the water to soap ratio right and I was definitely rewarded. This soap is only missing those extra skin conditioning properties that elite soaps use. The lather is fantastic and the shave is perfect. I am ready to crate this soap and I will call it Tier 1 Box 3. This is a company definitely worth looking into especially if a scent captures your attention. Give em a go folks.

Nothing crazy had a nice day at mass today, and now home getting ready for lunch, after Sadie wakes up from her nap Connor wants to build a snowman, so we might head outside for that. All in all a good relaxing Sunday planned. Wife has a nice ham going in the oven soon for dinner.

Have a great day Cadre

Soap/cream: Mike's Lime
Brush: TSC Member Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Avon Island Lime

Well today I reached for a LIMEY shave and the Mike's paired with Avon Island Lime just delivered! Absolutely wonderful shave. Mike's in my opinion has kind of fallen off the radar but it is still some of the better soap in my den for sure, plus this lime is some of the best! The shave today was good but not great these Lord blades just aren't living up to some of the other blades I have used.

Well while the family is all home I am at work today. Thankfully the snow last night was light and the drive in wasn't that bad. We actually have some blue sky currently and the temps are trying to rise above freezing which would be awesome! Tomorrow I take the court for the last time til next basketball season. Well kind of, I have agreed to help on the occasional saturdays for the local AAU league; but I am looking forward to some more free time during the week. Hope you all are doing well.

Have a good day cadre

Bummer about work today. I'm surprised. Usually it's my wife that gets off all the semi-holidays, but we both got off today.

Lucky! I technically work for a bank and had to work yesterday LOL.

Hope it thaws out soon Chad! I had To work today too if it makes you feel any better lol.

I don't think the snow will ever stop. Probably because I keep reading about winter coming! LOL

Yea no shave today. And I had a great sopa all picked out.

Went to bed and woke up to 3 inches of snow. Wouldn't normally be a problem but it was unexpected. Didn't even show up on local news stations radar. So the roads hadn't been salted and they where slick! So that meant a longer than normal commute, running the snow blower at 5 AM, and running late at home. Because I had to be to work at 7AM for a meeting. It is still snowing sadly, they claim it is all due to a lake effect. Me I am just ready for it to be over.

Work is proving to continue to be a stressor and I think it might be time to start looking for a different position at work, or possibly other companies. I am going to have to some long and hard thinking but I think it would be better if I took on a different role. This position has had so many changes I am just not as fulfilled in my this role any longer.

Bummer about the continued weather annoyances. Is your work at least understanding of that sort of thing when you’re late? Just expect you to stay a bit later?

My wife works in the C suite of a large financial institution. You let me know when you're ready for the temperate weather of California ?

Sounds like a change is definitely need on the work front Chad. If you have other potential opportunities you should definitely explore them. It doesn’t hurt anyone to go have a conversation and see what someone else has to offer.

And the incredibly high taxes and next to impossible to own gun laws...

I can definitely relate to being unfulfilled in the job arena. Previous employment of mine was unwilling to work with me and when I left for the one I am in now I just about jumped for joy. Take a long hard look at your life and work...I am sure an opportunity will present itself in the right time.

Definitely know the feeling that it's time to move on from the current employment position. Hopefully something will either shake out at your current position or an opportunity will rear its head for you and your family Chad.

Well this morning no snow which was a nice surprise, but the winds are brutal and cold. But I was able to get a nice shave in, and I decided to start choosing some summer scents. This one did not disappoint. No surprise those that know me understand I am a big fan of Soap Commander. While there are some soap makers out there making better product now, they still hold a place in my den and I really enjoy using them.

Homefront

Well last night after the kids were in bed we noticed that Connor's betta fish that he has had for 2 years finally kicked the bucket so to speak. He was pretty upset this morning. But handled it well actually, the kids has too big of a heart. Anyways back to the grindstone going to try and get caught up soon. I know yesterday I discussed frustrations with my job, I will say i love the company I work for, and the people. But I do feel it is time for a new position. It is hard to think about going to another company and giving up 35 days of paid vacation.

Glad about the snow and sorry about the fish. 35 days paid vacation........................always jealous of people that have any. I haven't had any since I moved south and started working for myself in 1986 ? Hope today is better for you !
